4 Loading Paper Loading Paper F ollow the ste ps h ere to load pa per in you r Epson S tylus CX all-in-one. 1. Open the paper support and outp ut tray , then slide out the exte nsions. 2. Flip the feeder guard for ward. Then slid e the left edge guide to the l eft.
Loading Paper 5 Y ou can l oad up to 100 sheets of plain paper and up to 20 sheets of photo paper . (See the User ’s Gui de for capacity gu idelines o n other pap er typ es.) Note: The type of pap er yo u c hoose af fec ts the w ay y our printout looks, s o be sure to select the co rrect paper f or y our job.

30 Maintaining Your Epson Styl us CX All-in-One Cleaning th e Print Head If your pri ntouts are unexpectedly light or faint, or you notice light or dark bands across your printout, you may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly .
Maintaining Your Epson Sty lus CX All-in-One 31 Replacing Ink Cartridges When t he r ed B ink light starts flashing , one or more cartridges ar e low on ink. When the red B ink light stays on, you need to replace the cartridg e(s). Y ou ’ll also see a message on your screen when you print, tel ling you which car tridge is low o r empty .

If one of the car tridges is low or empt y , the Epson S tylus CX moves that cartri dge to the _ ink out mark. Go to step 4. If no cartri dges are low or empt y , the ink cart ridge ho lder moves to the ink replacement positio n.
