CODES AND APPROVALS CONTINUED RE: CONVERSION OF ZERO CLEARANCE FACTORY BUILT FIREPLACES The following instructions cover Sherwood Industries Ltd. policy for Gas-Fired Appliances (inserts) to be retofitted into existing factory built fireplaces with replacement parts removed.

4. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ASSEMBLING AND INSTALLING YOUR ENVIROGAS ACCENT 25 1. Remove the unit from it’s box 2. Open the door, by first removing the cover with the nameplate attached (open valve door and pull nameplate cover side tab to release catch), undo the two bolts at the bottom of the door.
5. ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS The ACCENT 25 will operate without electrical pow er. This model has a Millivolt gas control w hich uses the pilot flame to generate enough electricity to oper ate the main burners.
6. GAS LINE CONNECTIONS and TESTING WARNING: Only persons licensed to w ork with gas piping may make the necessary gas connections to this appliance. GA S LINE CONNECTION • This stove is equipped with a 3/8 x 3 inch black iron nipple located on the right side of the unit terminating in a 3/8" male NPT fitting.
7. INSTALLATION OF LOGS, EMBERS and BRICK PANELS INSTA LLING THE GLOWING EMBERS and LOGSET A bag of ceramic fiber embers is provided for use on the burner PAN. CAUTION: Use only the type of ember material supplied with this appliance. Due to the irregular size of the ember material there may be more than required.

9. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE and SERVICE Periodically check to ensure that your sy stem is clean. Periodically check the pilot and burner. Check to see that all the burner ports are clean and clear. Check the pilot head for blockage. Check to ensure the pilot flame is blue with y ellow tips.
10.FUEL CONVERSION “Warning” This conversion kit shall be installed by a qualified service technician in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.
