5 Fig. 9 ADJUSTING SP ARK DEFLECT OR As the five inch g r inding wheel (H) Fig. 9, wears down due to e xtended use, the spark deflector (J) should be adjusted downw ard with it, so it is alwa ys set close to the grinding wheel for maxim um operator saf ety .
PO WER CONNECTIONS A separate electrical circuit should be used for y our tools. This circuit should not be less than #12 wire and should be protected with a 20 Amp time lag fuse. If an extension cord is used, use only 3-wire e xtension cords which hav e 3-prong grounding type plugs and 3-pole receptacles which accept the tool’ s plug.

As water is absorbed into the grinding wheel, additional water must be added into the base.

Br ing the dresser f orward until it just touches the high point of the f ace of the wheel and dress the wheel by moving the dresser back and f or th.
9 LUBRICA TION Occasionally lubricate the arbor shaft with light machine oil, through the oiler (A) Fig. 22, provided. T o lubricate the wor m gears (A) and (B) Fig. 23, remove the nameplate (C) and apply grease to the two gears (A) and (B) as shown. Fig.
