8 Important Information: This system can only be operated with the lid in the open position. If you close the lid while the radio or a CD is playing the power shuts ‘ Off ’ automaticall y. LISTENING TO THE RADIO 1.) Press the OPEN button and raise the lid.
9 PLA YING COMP ACT DISCS Normal Playback 1.) Press the OPEN button and raise the lid. 2.) Press the PO WER button to turn the system ‘ On ’. 3.) Press the CD button to select the CD function. 4.) Press the CD door on the OPEN/CLOSE marking to open the door.
1 0 Pause Control To Pause temporarily during playback, press the P L A Y / P A U SE button. The sound stops and the track display flashes but the disc continues to spin. Press P L A Y / P A U SE once more to cancel Pause mode and resume normal playback.
1 1 Repeat Playback You can automatically repeat the entire disc or a single track. To repeat the entire disc: Load the disc in the player and wait until the display shows the total tracks. Press the P . MODE button once. The REPE AT indicator will appear in the displa y .
1 2 PROGRAMMED PLA YBACK This CD player has a 19 track programmable memory system that allows you to program up to 19 tracks on any CD. Y ou can select only the tracks that you want to hear and have them play in any order you want to hear them. The same track can be programmed to play several times if desired.
1 3 PROGRAM REPEAT Program Repeat Playback Y ou can also use the Program and Repeat features together to repeat an entire programmed sequence of tracks indefinitely. First program the tracks you wish to hear in the desired order as described above. Then press the REPE AT button once so that the REPE AT indicator appears in the displa y .
