8 O P E R A T I N G I N S T RUC T I O N S LISTENING TO THE RADIO 1.) To turn the system ‘ on ’ , rotate the ON/OFF-VOLUME control clockwise until a ‘ click ’ is heard, and set the Volume to a low level. The Tuning Dial light comes ‘ on ’. 2.
9 PLA YING COMP ACT DISCS 1.) Turn the ON/OFF-VOLUME control clockwise until a ‘ click ’ is heard, and set the volume to a low level. 2.) Set the Function selector ( AM/FM/CD ) to the CD position. The CD track number display comes ‘ on ’. 3.) Press the CD DOOR OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD door.
1 0 Skipping Tracks and High Speed Music Search During CD Playback, repeatedly press the F. SKIP (Forward Skip) or B. SKIP (Back Skip) buttons to skip to higher or lower number tracks. When the desired track number appears on the display release the buttons and playback will begin on the desired track.
1 1 PROGRAMMED PLA YBACK This feature allows you to program up to 20 tracks on a disc for playback in any desired order. Note: You cannot program tracks while a disc is playing. If the disc is playing press the STOP button first before beginning the programming steps below: 1.
1 2 6.) After the last track has played the player stops and the display shows the total number of tracks on the disc. However the program sequence remains in the memory and the Program indicator remains ‘ on. Press the PL AY/ PA USE button to play the programmed sequence again.
1 3 USING STEREO HEADPHONES (NOT INCLUDED) Connect a set of stereo headphones with a 3.5mm mini-plug to the PHONE jack on the front panel. Before putting on the headphones always set the ON/OFF- VOLUME control to a low level. Then put the headphones on and gradually increase the Volume to a comfortable listening level.
