4 PRE P A RATION FOR USE UNP A CKING AND SET UP • Carefully remove the unit from the display carton. Remove all the packing material from the unit and remove any small strips of tape that may have been used to prevent the CD door from opening in transit.

10 SETTING THE WAKE-UP TIMES The procedure for setting the Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 wake up times is the same. 1.) First depress and hold the ALARM 1 button, then press the SKIP FWD. button or the SKIP REV. to adjust the display forward or back to the correct Alarm 1 wake-up time.
12 PL AYING COMPACT DISCS IMPORT AN T: This CD player can play normal CDs plus CD Recordable (CD-R) and CD Rewriteable (CD-RW) discs. However the playability of CD-R/RW discs may be affected by the type of software that was used in ë rippingí the tracks from the original discs and ë burningí the tracks onto the blank media.
14 SKIP/Search ( / ) Controls During playback press the SKIP FWD. or SKIP REV. buttons on the front panel repeatedly to skip forward or back to higher or lower numbered tracks. Playback will start at the beginning of the selected track. To search within a track for a specific musical passage depress and hold the SKIP FWD.
16 PROGRAMMED PLAY BA C K Use the Programmed Playback feature to play up to 20 tracks on a disc in any desired order . You may also program a particular track to play several times within a programmed sequence if desired. Note : You cannot program a disc while it is playing.
18 ALARM FUNCTION Y ou can use the alarm function to wake you to an electronic buzzer tone, the radio, or your favorite CD. First press the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 buttons on the front panel to check the Wake Up time settings. Adjust the Wake Up times if necessary .
20 SLEEP Timer Y ou can fall asleep to the radio or CD player and the sleep timer will shut the system off automatically after up to 99 minutes of music. Sleep To Rad io Set the function selector switch ( CD / FM AUTO / AM )t ot h e FM AUTO or AM position.

9 DIRECTIVES DE FONCTIONNEMENT RÉGLAGE DE L’HORLOGE Voyant des heures avant midi • Assurez-vous d’avoir mis une pile de secours dans l’appareil. • Assurez-vous d’avoir allongé l’antenne fil de réception FM au maximum. • Branchez le cordon d’alimentation CA dans une prise de courant alternatif murale de 120 volts et 60 hertz.
11 FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA RADIO Conseils pour améliorer la qualité de la réception 1) Glissez le sélecteur de fonction ( CD/FM AUTO/AM ) se trouvant sur le côté droit de l’appareil à la position FM AUTO ou AM . 2) Appuyez sur l’interrupteur marche/arrêt ( ON/OFF ) se trouvant sur le dessus de l’appareil pour mettre la radio en marche.
