5 Y our new ceiling fan will require a grounded electrical supply line of 120 volts AC, 60 Hz, 15 amp circuit. The outlet box must be securely anchored and capable of withstanding a load of at least 50 pounds.

10. Unscrew and remove one lockwasher and screw from each end of the upper light plate cover on the fan motor housing. Do not remove the screw closest to the light holes (Figure 9). NOTE: The screw closest to the light holes, holds the light socket to the light plate cover .
8 CEILING COVER PIN DOWNROD HANGER BALL SETSCREW Figure 14 It is critical that the pin in the hanger ball is properly installed and the setscrew securely tightened. Failure to verify that the pin and setscrew are properly installed could result in the fan falling.
1. Securely attach the hanger bracket to the outlet box using the two screws supplied with the outlet box (Figure 16). How to Hang Y our Ceiling Fan The fan must be hung with at least 7' of clearance from floor to blades (Figure 15). ! W ARNING The outlet box and joist must be securely mounted and capable of supporting at least 50 lbs.

11 Check to see that all connections are tight, including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire connectors, except for the ground wire. Do not operate fan until blades are in place.
5. Unscrew the finial nut, hex jamnut, and rubber lockwasher from the light kit threaded nipple (Figure 22). Retain the lockwasher , hex jamnut and finial nut for future installation. 6. Position the glass shade over the threaded nipple in the light kit plate assembly (Figure 23).

4. T o turn the lights on and off, press and release the upper part of the LIGHT (U/L) button or the lower part of the LIGHT (D/L) button. The lights will turn on at the light level previously set (see Step 3). Red light turns on when any button is pressed.
