T ools Needed for Assembly One Phillips head screwdriver One wire stripper One stepladder Three 60-watt (max.) candelabra base bulbs Six wire connectors (supplied) Materials Wiring, outlet box and box connectors must be of type required by the local code.
Preset Memory Feature Y our remote control receiver is equipped with a preset memory feature. The receiv- er will remember the light intensity and fan speed when the light and fan are turned off from the wall switch. When the wall switch is turned back on, the lights and fan will resume operation as they were prior to the switch being turned off.
2. Slide the four switch levers on the code switch to your choice of ON (up) or down positions. Use a ball-point pen or small screwdriver and slide the levers firmly up or down. 3. In the receiver (Figure 1), slide the four switch levers to the same positions as set in the transmitter .
5. Reinstall the hanger ball (Figure 5) on the downrod as follows. Route the three 80” motor leads through the hanger ball and slide the hanger ball over the downrod. Position the pin through the two holes in the downrod and align the hanger ball so the pin is captured in the groove in the top of the hanger ball.
11 . Engage the connector of the switch housing/light fitter assembly with the motor connector (Figure 8). The two connectors are color-coded and must be mated correctly (color-to-color) before they can be engaged. Make sure the connectors close properly .
2. Carefully lift the fan and seat the hang- er ball/downrod assembly on the hang- er bracket that was just attached to the outlet box (Figure 12). Be sure the groove in the ball is lined up with the tab on the hanger bracket (Figure 1 1).
9 1. Position the supply wires to the left side of the outlet box (Figure 13); position the fan wires to the right side. Partially insert the remote control receiver (flat side up) until one end rests on the hanger ball as shown in Figure 13. NOTE: Make all wiring connections using wire connectors (supplied).
7. Screw three 60-watt (maximum) cande- labra base bulbs into the light fitter sockets (Figure 16). 8. Place the lower glass in the lower ring assembly (Figure 16).
NOTE: Slightly loosen the four screws securing the lower ring brackets to the switch housing assembly . 9. Securely grasp one of the lower ring posts and raise the lower ring up to one of the lower ring brackets. Secure the lower ring post to the lower ring brack- et using a bracket mounting screw (Figure 16).
