GENERAL SAFETY • Before maintenance, deactiva te the appliance and discon- nect the mains plug f rom the mains socket. • Do not change the specific ation of this appliance. • Obey the maximum load volume of 8 kg (refer to the “Pro- gramme chart” chapter).
• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the appliance. Always pull the mains plug. • Do not touch the mains cable or the mains plug with wet hands. • This appliance complies with the E.E.C. Directives. Water connection • Make sure not to cause damage to the water hoses.
ECOLOGICAL HINTS To help the environment, use less water and energy, obey th ese instructions: • Set a programme without the prewash phase to wash laundry with normal soil. • Always start a wash ing programme with the maximum load of laundry. • If necessary, use a stain remover when you set a programme with a low temper- ature.

The AUTO Stand-by function automatically deactivates the appliance to decrease the energy consumption when: • You do not use the appliance for 5 mi- nutes before you press button 4 . – All settings are cancelled. – Press button 1 to activate t he appli- ance again.

USING THE DETERGENT AND ADDITIVES The detergent compartment for the p r ewash phase and the soak programme. Add the detergent for prewash and s oak before the start of the pro gramme. 4. To use liquid detergent, turn the flap down. 5. Measure out the detergent and the fab- ric conditioner. 6. Carefully close the detergent dispenser. Make sure that the flap does not cause a blockage when you close the drawer. With the flap in the pos ition DOWN: – Do not use gel atinous or thick liquid detergents.
If the temperature and level of the wa- ter in the drum ar e too h igh, the door lock symbol stays on and you cannot open the door. To open the door do the steps that follow: 1. Deactivate the appliance. 2. Wait for some minutes. 3. Make sure that no water is in the drum.
• Do not mix different types of detergents. • To help the enviro nment, do not use more than the correct quantity of deter- gent. • Obey the instructions that you fi nd on the on packaging of these products. • Use the correct products for the type and colour of the fabric, the programme tem - perature and the level of soil.
DOOR SEAL Regularly examine the seal a nd remove all objects from the inner part. DETERGENT DISPENSER 1. Press the lever. 1 2 2. Pull the dispenser out. 3. Remove the top part of the liquid addi- tive compartment. 4. Clean all the parts with water. 5.
4. Press the two levers and pull forward the drainage duct to let the water flow out. 5. When the container is full of water, put the drainage duct back again and emp- ty the container. Do steps 4 and 5 again and again until no more water flows out from the drain pump.
5. Clean the filter in the cold valve with a stiff brush or a towel. 6. Install again the cold inlet hose. Make sure that the couplin gs are tight to pre- vent leakages. 45° 20° 7. Open the cold water tap. To clean the inlet filters of the hot water, do the same st eps (1) through (7) of this procedure.

5. Open the door. Re move the polystyr- ene piece from the door seal and all the items from the drum. 6. Put one of the po lystyrene packaging elements on the floor behind the appli- ance. Carefully put down the appliance with the rear side on it. Make su re not to damage the hoses.
We recommend that you keep the packaging and the transit bolts for when you move the appliance. POSITIONING AND LEVELLING • Install the appliance on a flat hard floor.
A WATER DRAINAGE There are different pr ocedures to connect the drain hose: With the plastic hose guide. • On the edge of a sink. Make sure that the plastic guide cannot move when the appliance drains. Attach the guide to the water tap or the wall. • To a stand pipe with vent-hole.

Vorsicht! Schieben Sie weder Karton noch Holz oder ähnliche Materialien unter die Stellfüße, um das Gerät auszurichten. WASSERZULAUFSCHLÄUCHE • Schließen Sie den Schlauch am Gerät an. Drehen Sie den Wasserzulaufschlauch nur nach links oder rechts.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Kunststoff- Führung beim Abpumpen nicht abrut- schen kann. Befestigen Sie deswegen die Führung am Wasserhahn oder an der Wand. • An ein Standr ohr mit Entlüftungsöffnung.
