4 YOUR APPLIANCE OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS This cooker hood is designed to extract unpleasant odours from the kitchen, it will not extract steam. T o obtain the best performance it is advisable to switch on the hood a few minutes before you start cooking and leave it running for approximately 15 minutes after finishing.
5 The appliance can be installed to recirculate or extract contaminated air . The cooker hood is more effective when used in the extraction mode. Recirculation The cooker hood is supplied specified for use in the recirculation mode with the charcoal filter fitted.
6 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning isolate the cooker hood from the mains supply . The cooker hood must be kept clean, a build up of grease or fat can be a fire hazard. External Cleaning Wipe the cooker hood frequently with warm soapy water using a mild detergent.
7 Synthetic Paper Grease Filter The filter has saturation indicators, which are small squares made from a series of dots. When the white paper inside the squares becomes saturated with grease the coloured dots start to run and spread across the paper , indicating that the filter has reached saturation point and must be replaced.
8 SOMETHING NOT WORKING SERVICE AND SP ARE P ARTS If, having followed these instructions carefully , your cooker hood fails to work properly please carry out the following checks.

11 INST ALLING THE COOKER HOOD Please ensure that when the appliance is installed it is easily accessible to an engineer in the event of a breakdown. All installations must comply with the local authorities requirements for the discharge of exhaust air.

13 Unpacking The fittings supplied to install this cooker hood can be found with the instruction book inside the packaging and consists of the following: Ducting spigot Blanking plate W all Fitting The cooker hood is fitted to the wall using the keyhole slots in the back of the hood.
14 T o Fit the Ducting 1. Fit the ducting spigot and blanking plate, by aligning the interlocking lugs on the fittings, with the recesses in the aperture. 2. Insert and turn anti-clockwise to lock the spigot and blanking plate into position. 3. Remove the charcoal filter and ensure the slider control is in the ducting position.
15 T o Level the Cooker Hood 1. Remove the lower grille by pressing inwardly on the two slide catches located towards either side of the grille towards the front. The grille will open from the front. 2. Slide the right edge of the grille forward until it clears the guide and then unhook the left hinge pin.
