Important Safety Instructions • Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the mains cable, break or r emove spring or bolt catches, if fitted.

7 Remove tr ansport packaging The appliance and the interior fittings are pr otected for tr ansport. ☞ 1. Pull off the adhesive tape on the left and right side of the door . 2. Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance.
Grid pr eparation The side at which the door opens can be changed from the right side (as supplied) to the left side, if the installation site requir es. Warning! When changing the side at which the door opens, r emove plug from the mains. Left door opening: ☞ 1.

Installation 16 Fitting the plinth Important! For the efficient operation of the appliance, it is important that the original ventilation grid is used. • For an opening height dimension A=820 mm and a plinth height dimension a=1 00 mm, the plinth may be fitted without adjustments.

Freezing and storing fr ozen food 23 explode! Never store lemonade, juices, beer , wine, sparkling wine etc. in the freezer . ☞ 1. Press the fast fr eeze button for the fr eezing of fresh food.
24 Stor age Goods Symbols/Fr eezing Calendar • The symbols on the dr awer s show different types of fr ozen goods. • The number s indicate stor age times in months for the appropriate types of frozen goods.
25 Warning! • Do not use electrical heating appliances or any other mechanical or artificial devices to speed up the defrosting pr ocess. • Do not use defrosting spr ays, they can be hazardous to your health and/or contain substances that damage plastics.
26 Magnetic door seal After opening and closing the door of your freezer you will not be able to open the door again immediately . This is because a vacuum will have developed inside, keeping the door closed until the pressur es inside and outside the door have equalised.
27 Ener gy Saving Tips • Do not install the appliance near boilers, r adiators or other sour ces of heat. High ambient temperatur es cause longer , more fr equent operation of the compr essor . • Ensure sufficient air cir culation and exhaust at the appliance base and at the back wall of the appliance.
What to do if ... 28 The freezer temper ature is not sufficient, red light illuminates, temperatur e alarm signal sounds. Temper ature is not properly adjusted. A large quantity of warm food placed in the appli- ance within the last 24 hours. Please look in the “Initial Start Up” section.
