Installation Installation Location The appliance should be set up in a w ell v entilated, dry room. Ener gy use and efficient perf ormance o f the appliance is affected b y the ambient temperatur e .
Installation 9 Y our R efri g erator Needs Air F or correct operation this appliance must be located in a dry atmosphere , away f r o m heatsources , e.g. cook ers , radiator s , boilers and dir ect sunlight. Y ou should also ensure that air can circulate fr eely around the back and the top o f the cabinet.
Le v elling The appliance must be le v el. Le v el the appliance b y adjusting the tw o adjustable feet (1) at the front o f the appliance . If requir ed the w asher (2) can be remo v ed.
Installation R elocate the door holder pin in the door holder as per the figur e . Place the door holder pin in the door at the bottom on the left side , and fix the door holder with the scre w . Driv e in the tw o adjustable front legs , and raise the appliance in the upright position.
Installation 12 Chan ging Ov er the Fr eez er Compartment Door After re ver sing the r efrig erator door , it is necessary to re v erse the door o f the froz en f ood compartment as w ell. Proceed as f ollo w s . 1. Press the r etaining le ver inside the lo wer door hin ge 2.
13 Plug Sock et The plug socket necessary f or connection o f y our appliance to the electricity supply should be positioned so that it is possible to pull out the appliance plug. If y our appliance is installed under a continuous w orktop, the plug socket should be pr o vided as sho wn.
Installation 14 Electrical Connection An y electrical work r equired t o install this appliance should be carried out b y a qualified electrician or competent person. This appliance must be earthed. The manuf acturer declines an y liability should these safety measures not be observ ed.

16 Usin g the Appliance Bef or e Use R emo ve all securin g tapes . W ash the inside o f the appliance with luke w arm w ater with a little bicarbonate o f soda added (5 ml to 0,5 litre o f w ater). Do not use soap or deter gent as the smell ma y linger .
17 Switchin g Off the Appliance T o switch o ff the appliance , turn the temper ature r egulator to position"0". If the appliance is not goin g to be used f or an e xtended period: 1. R emo ve all r efrig erated and fr ozen pac kages. 2. Switch o ff the appliance b y turning the thermostat knob to position"0".
V ariable Inner Door The door compartments can be pulled up and remo v ed, and inserted atother positions as needed. Corr ect Sto rage Belo w is the recommended stora ge positions f or v arious f ood .
19 F r eezin g and Storin g F r oz en F ood The freez er compartment is f or freezin g and storing f ood. Important! The temperatur e in the freez er compartment must be –18°C or colder bef ore fr eezing fr esh f ood or storing f ood alr eady froz en.
20 Pr epar ation o f Ice Cubes 1. Fill the ice cube tr a y 3/4 full with cold w ater , place it in the fr eezer compartment and lea ve to fr eeze . 2. T o loosen the fr ozen cubes , either bend the ice cube tr a y or hold it under running w ater f or a fe w seconds .
21 3. R emo ve an y loose pieces o f ice as soon as possible . 4. When defrostin g is completed, clean and dry thoroughly . T urn the thermostat knob to a medium position to restart the appliance . After letting the appliance run f or at least half an hour replace the pre viously remo v ed f ood into the **** -star compartment.
22 Cleanin g and Care F or hygienic r easons the appliance interior , includin g interior accessories , should be cleaned regularly . W arnin g! The appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleanin g.
23 Ener gy Sa vin g T ips Do not install the appliance near cooker s , radiator s or other sources o f w armth. High ambient temperatur es cause long er , mor e frequent operation o f the compressor . Ensure sufficient air cir culation and e xhaust at the appliance base and at the back w all of the appliance .
24 What to do if ... Corr ecting Malfunctions A malfunction ma y be caused b y only a minor f ault that y ou can r ectify y ourself using the f ollo wing instructions . Do not perf orm an y other w ork on the appliance if the f ollo wing inf ormation does not pro vide assistance in y our specific case .
25 What to do if ... Symptom Interior lightin g does notw ork. Hea vy build up o f frost, possibly also on the door seal. Unusual noises . The compressor does not start immediately after changin g the temperatur e setting. W ater in the bottom o f the cabinet.

27 T echnical T erminology R efrig erant Liquids that can be used to a gener ate a cooling effect ar e kno wn as refri ger ants . The y ha v e a r elatively lo w boiling-point, indeed so lo w , that the w armth from the f ood stored in the frid ge or fr eezer can cause the refri ger ant to boil and v aporise .
