ENGLISH BEFORE ST ARTING 1 Pull out the cord completely from the cord r eel and connect to your electrical outlet. Please note: when rewinding the cor d after cleaning is complete, secure the end of the cor d with the cord r etention hook on the back side of the handle or securely hold the plug in your hand as the cor d rewind pedal is activated.

15 ENGLISH REPLACING THE DUST BAG CAUTION: T urn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord before servicing. 1 Remove the dust bag cover as shown. 2 Grasp bag collar and pull out. 3 Pull bag collar up to seal opening to prevent dust from escaping and dispose of bag.

17 ENGLISH REPLACING THE BRUSHROLL Replacing the brushroll CAUTION: T urn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord before servicing. 1 Remove the three screws that secur e the base plate that covers the brushroll. 2 Lift out brush roll and carefully r emove any entwined long fibers or hair with scissors.
