9 • During normal operation, the temper ature curr ently present in the fridge (ACTUAL temperatur e) is displayed. • When the temperatur e is being adjusted a flashing display indicates the fridge temperatur e currently set (DESIRED temper ature).
10 Interior Accessories Stor age Shelves The glass shelf above the fruit and vegetable compartment should always remain in position, to ensur e fruit and vegetables stay fresh longer . The remaining stor age shelves can be adjusted to various heights: Pull the storage shelf forwar d until it can be tipped up or down and remo- ved.
11 Fr esh food r efrigeration To obtain the best performance: • do not store warm food or evapor ating liquid in the refriger ator • do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a str ong flavour . • P osition food so that air can circulate fr eely round it.

13 DESIRED temperatur e means: The temperatur e that has been selected for inside the freezer . The DESIRED temperatur e is indicated by flashing numbers. ACTUAL temperatur e means: The temperatur e display indicates the current temper ature inside the fr eezer .
14 FROSTMA TIC The FROSTMATIC function acceler ates the freezing of fr esh food and, at the same time, protects foodstuffs alr eady stored fr om undesirable warming. 1. The FROSTMATIC function is switched on by pr essing the FROSTMATIC but- ton. The yellow light illuminates.
15 Fr eezing and storing fr ozen food Y ou can use your freezer for fr eezing fresh food your self. Important! • The temperatur e in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before fr eezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the r ating plate.
16 Fr eezing Calendar • The symbols on the drawer s show different types of fr ozen goods. • The numbers indicate stor age times in months for the appropriate types of frozen goods. Whether the upper or lower value of the indicated storage time is valid depends on the quality of the foods and pre-tr eating before fr eezing.
17 Cleaning and Car e For hygienic reasons the appliance interior , including interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly . W arning! • The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning.
18 Ener gy Saving Tips • Do not install the appliance near radiator s or other sources of warmth. High ambient temperatur es cause longer , more fr equent operation of the compressor . • Ensure sufficient air cir culation and exhaust at the appliance base and at the back wall of the appliance.
19 Green light does not light up, yellow light lights up when fast freeze fuction is activa- ted, appliance is on. Green light faulty . Please inform your customer service Appliance cools too much. Temper ature is set too cold. Turn the temper ature r egula- tor to a warmer setting tem- porarily .
20 The freezer temper ature is not sufficient, red light lights up, temperatur e signal sounds The appliance is near a heat source. Temper ature is not pr operly adjusted. Please look in the "Initial Start Up" section. Press the fast fr eeze switch Door was open for an exten- ded period.
21 Changing the light bulb Warning! Ther e is a risk of electric shocks! Before changing the light bulb , switch off the appliance and unplug it, or pull the fuse or the circuit br eaker .
