5 Dai ly Operation • Do not oper ate any electrical appliances in the refriger ator/freezer (e.g. electric ice cr eam makers, mixers etc.). • Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply .
6 Remove transport packaging The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for tr ansport. • Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance. B A S h e l f holders Y our appliance is equipped with shelf retainer s that make it possible to secure the shelves during tr ansporta- tion.
7 S tarting up and temper ature r egulation Wash the inside of the appliance with lukewarm water with a little bicar- bonate of soda added (5ml to 0,5 litre of water). Do not use soap or deter- gent as the smell may linger . Dry the appliance thoroughly .

9 Quick- fr eezing For quick-freezing, push the Normal/Super button (D). The super control light (C) will then light up. The Quick-freezing function accelerates the freezing of fresh food and, at the same time, protects foodstuffs already stored from undesirable warming.
10 I nterior Accessories Stor age Shelves The glass shelf above the fruit and vegetable compartment should always remain in position, to ensure fruit and vegetables stay fresh longer . The r emaining storage shelves can be adjusted to various heights: Pull the storage shelf forwar d until it can be tipped up or down and remo- ved.
11 F r esh Food Refrigeration To obtain the best performance: • do not store warm food or evaporating liquid in the refrigeator • do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour . • position food so that air can circuiate freely r ound it.
12 • Allow warm food to cool down before fr eezing. The warmth will cause increased ice formation and increase the power consumption. • Please note the maximum storage times specified by the manufacturer . • Thawed foods which have not been pr ocessed further (cooked into meals) may not under any circumstances be frozen a second time.
13 Pr eparation of Ice Cubes 1. Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water , place it in the fr eezer com- partment and leave to freeze. 2. To loosen the frozen cubes, either twist the ice cube tr ay or hold it under running water for a few seconds.
14 We particulary r ecommend that you periodically clean the defrost-water drainage outlet, located in the centre of the drainage groove in the refrig- erator compartment, to prevent the defrost water form overflowing on to foods stored in the compartment.
