5 Important Safety Instructions • Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the mains cable, break or r emove spring or bolt catches, if fitted.
6 • This product should be serviced by an authorised engineer and only genuine spare parts should be used. • Under no circumstances should you attempt to r epair the appliance yourself. Repair s carried out by inexperienced per sons may cause injury or serious malfunctioning.
7 Remove T ransport P ackaging The appliance and the interior fittings are pr otected for tr ansport. 1. Pull off the adhesive tape on the left and right side of the door . 2. Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance.

9 Installation 1. The appliance’s door has been locked in position for transport by means of pins on both sides. According to the door opening direction, r emove r elevant pins at the top and at the bottom. 2. Press in the joint cover s between the appliance and the kitchen furniture.
10 Installation 5. S Apply covers (C-D) into the r elevant holes. Snap ventilation grille (B) and hinge cover (E) into position. B E C D 6. Separate parts Ha, Hb , Hc, Hd as shown in the figure.
11 Installation 9. Open the appliance door and the furni- ture door at 90°. Insert the small squar e (Hb) into guide (Hb). Put together the appliance door and the furniture door and mark the holes as indicated in the figure. PR167 Ha Hb 8mm 11 . Place the small square on the guide again and fix it with the screws supplied.
12 Installation P ower S upply A correctly installed, earthed socket is r equir ed for the electrical sup- ply . The supply must have a fuse rating of at least 13 Amps. If the socket is not accessible once the appliance is built in, the electrical installation must include suitable means of isolating the appliance from the mains (e.

15 Prior to Initial Start–Up 1. Please clean the appliance interior and all accessories prior to initial start-up (see section: “Cleaning and Care”). 2. Remove the ice pack from the appliance. 3. Only put the ice pack to freeze in the top dr awer after the optimum storage temper atur e of –18°C has been reached.

19 Fr eezing and S toring F rozen F ood Y ou can use your fr eezer for freezing fr esh food your self. Important! • The temperatur e in the fr eezer compartment must be –18°C or cold- er before fr eezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the r ating plate.
20 Stor age Goods Symbols/Fr eezing Calendar • The symbols on the dr awer s show different types of fr ozen goods. • The number s indicate stor age times in months for the appropriate types of frozen goods.
21 Pr epar ation of Ice Cubes 1. Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water , place it in the freezer compartment and leave to freeze. 2. To loosen the fr ozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tr ay or hold it under running water for a few seconds.
22 4. Remove all drawer s. Insert the plastic scraper in the special location to act as an extension channel and place a basin under- neath to collect the defrost water . Tip: To speed up the defr osting pr ocess, place a plastic bowl with warm water in the appliance and close the door .
23 4. Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and luke- warm water . A mild solution of washing up liquid and water may also be used.
24 Y ellow light does not light up, when the fast freeze function is activated, appliance is on. Y ellow light faulty . Please inform your local Service Force Centr e. What to do if ... Corr ecting Malfunctions Please check whether the pilot lights come on, the refriger ating unit operates, and the internal temper atur e is being maintained.
25 What to do if ... Important: regularly check on the r ed temper ature pilot light and thermometer to establish that the storage temper atur e is being main- tained. The compressor runs con- tinuously Temper ature is set too cold. Turn the thermostat con- trol knob to a warmer set- ting temporarily .
26 Noises D uring Operation The following noises are char acteristic of r efrigeration appliances: • Clicks Whenever the compressor switches on or off, a click can be hear d. • Humming As soon as the compressor is in oper ation, you can hear it humming.
27 T echnical T erminology • Refrigerant Liquids that can be used to a generate a cooling effect ar e known as refriger ants. They have a r elatively low boiling-point, indeed so low , that the warmth from the food stor ed in the fridge or fr eezer can cause the refriger ant to boil and vaporise.
