Installation • This appliance is h eavy. Care should be taken when moving it. • When unpacking the appliance, check that it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use it and contact the Service Centre. • All packing and transit bolts must be re- moved before use.
Product description Your new appliance meets all modern requir ements for effective treatm ent of laundr y with low water, energy and detergent consum ption. Its new washing system allows total use of detergent and reduces wate r consumption so saving energy.
Detergent dispenser drawer Compartment for detergent used for pre- wash and soak phase or for stain remover used during the stain action phase (if availa- ble). The prewash and soak detergent is added at the beginning of the wash pro- gramme. The stain remover is added during the stain action phase.

Display 7.4 7.5 7.1 7.2 7.3 The display shows the following information: 7.1: • Duration of the selected programme After selecting a programme, the duration is displayed in hours and minutes (for ex- ample 2.05 ). The duration is calculated automatically on the basis of th e maximum recommended load for each type of fabric.
First use • Ensure that the electrical and water connections comply with the installa- tion instructions. • Remove the polystyrene block and any material from the drum. • Pour 2 liters of water into the main wash compartment of the deter- gent drawer in or der to activate the ECO valve.
If required, pour fabric softener into the com- partmen t marked (the amount used must not exceed the «MAX» mark in the drawer). Close the drawer gently. Select the required programme by turning the programme selector dial (1) Turn the programme selector dial to the re- quired programme.
– The programme will start after the se- lected delay has expired. Cancelling the delayed start after having pressed button 8 : 1. Set the washing machine to PAUSE by pressing button 8 . 2. Press button 6 once until the symbol 0’ is displayed 3. Press button 8 again to start the pro- gramme.
Press the button again to restart the pro- gramme. Cancelling a programme Turn the selector dial to to cancel a pro- gramme which is running. You can select now a new programme.
In any case, if the top or the shelf are damaged, DO NOT try to fix them by your self. Contact your local Service Centre. • DO NOT place detergent, bleach or fabric softener co ntainers on top of the appliance. They can damage the finish or controls.

If you activate the dr ying top while the washing machine is working, the wash- ing stops immediately and it is switched off. At the end of the drying programme, after the ACTIVATE button is pressed or after 10 minutes (aut omatic switching off of the drying top) the washing star ts again from the running phase interrup- ted previously.

Maintenance wash With the use of low temperature washes it is possible to get a build up of residues inside the drum. We recommend that a maintenance wash be performed on a regular basis. To run a maintenance wash: • The drum should be empty of laundry.
Door seal Check from time to time the door seal and eliminate eventual possible objects that could be trapped in the fold. Drain pump The pump sh ould be in spec ted regularly and particularly if: • the machine does not empty and/or spin • the machine makes an unusual noise dur- ing draining due to objects such as safety pins, coins etc.
8. Replace the filter in to the pump paying attention to insert it properly. When done, screw it firmly. 9. Replace the emergency emptying cap into the filter cover and fix it fi rmly. 10. Close the pump door. Warning! When the appliance is in use and depending on the programme selected there can be hot water in the pump.
Emergency emptying out If the water is not discharged, proceed as follows to empty out the machine: 1. pull out the plug fr om the power socket; 2. close the water tap; 3. if necessary, wait until the water has cooled down; 4. open the pump door; 5. place a bowl on the floor.
Problem Possible ca use/Solution The machine doe s not start: The door has not been closed. E40 •C l o s e t h e d o o r f i r m l y . The plug is not properly inserted in th e power socket. • Insert the plug into the power socket. There is no power at the socket.
Problem Possible ca use/Solution The door wi ll not open: The programme is still running. • Wait the end of washing cycle. The door lock has not been released. • Wait until the pilot light 9 goes off. There is water in the drum. • Select drain or spin programme to empty out th e water.

2. Remove the power supply cable and the draining and inlet hose from the hose holders on the rear of the appliance. 3. Unscrew the three bolts. 4. Slide out the relevant plastic spacers. 5. Open the porthole and remove the poly- styrene block fitted on the door seal.
