8 818 22 86-00/8 Befor e Use Pa ck ag in g 0 1. Remove all adhesive tape and packaging from the interior of the appli- ance. 3 Any r emnants of adhesive can be r emoved with white spirit. 2. Remove the transport pr otection pieces and pull off the adhesive tape.
Installation 818 22 86-00/8 9 The fr eezer needs ventilation Air is fed under the door through the vent slots in the base and is exhausted upwards along the back wall.
Installation 10 818 22 86-00/8 Appliance Alignment 0 1. The appliance must be level. Please compensate for unevenness in the floor by turning the two adjustable feet at the fr ont. 2. When two appliances are placed beside each other , the spacers enclosed in the plastic wrapping should be glued between the appli- ances as shown in the illustration.

12 818 22 86-00/8 Reversing the door The door hinges can be changed from right (as supplied) to left if requir ed to suit the location wh er e the appliance is installed. 1 War n in g! Unplug from the mains befor e r eversing the door . 0 1. Open the door and remove the plinth cover to the fr ont.

Remove the door fitting on the lower right (1) and r eposition the door hinge bracket cover fr om the lower left to the right of the door (2), place the door fitting supplied in the lower left of the door (3). Carefully remove the door to the front and place on one side.
14 818 22 86-00/8 The no-fr ost (fr ost fr ee) system • The appliance can be used as a freezing unit or as a refriger ator depen- ding on requir ement. For this pur pose, the operation mode "Fr eezing" or the operation mode "Cooling" can be selected on the appliance.

Description of the appliance 18 818 22 86-00/8 TURBO/FROSTMA TIC-button The TURBO/FROSTMA TIC func tion in the fr eezing mode provides for quick fr eezing of fr esh food products, and at the same time protects pr eviously stored goods against undesired warming in the fr eezer compartment.
818 22 86-00/8 19 Prior to Initial Start–Up 1 Before connecting the appliance to the mains and putt ing it into oper- ation for the fir st time, leave the a ppliance to stand for 30 minutes if was transported upright. After tr ans port on its side, the appliance must be left to stand for 2 hour s before putting it into oper ation.
20 818 22 86-00/8 Select "Fr eezing" or "Cooling" If necessary , switch over the appliance with the following steps between the operating modes "Freezing" and "Cooling": 0 1. Hold down the ALARM OFF button an d the „-“ (COLDER) button simul- taneously for 5 seconds.

818 22 86-00/8 23 T emperatur e memory 3 While the curr ent fr eezer temper atur e is above -8 °C, the warmest tem- peratur e the fr eezer has reached during the alarm period is stor ed and can be called up as often as wish ed by pressing the ALARM OFF button.
24 818 22 86-00/8 Fr eezing (only in the operating mode "Fr eezing“) Except for the bottom drawer , which serves for storage purposes, all compartments and drawer s ar e suited for freezing small quantities of fresh food. The two upper compartments ar e suited for fr eezing of large quantities of food.
818 22 86-00/8 25 Tips: • The follo wing ar e suited for the packaging of fr ozen goods: – freezer bags and polyethylene wr aps; – plastic containers for fr ozen goods; – extra–thick aluminium foil. • The following are suitable for sealing bags and wr ap: plastic clips, rubber bands o r tape.
