4 Hint s and T ip s Saucepans for use on solid plates should have several characteristics: l They should be fairly heavy duty l They should fit the heat area exactly , or be slightly larger for efficient use, NEVER smaller . l They should have a flat base to ensure good contac t with the plate.
5 Before any maintenance or cleaning can be carried out, you must DISCONNECT the hob from the electricity supply . The hob is best cleaned whilst it is still warm, as spillage can be removed more easily than if it is left to cool.
