4 Safety Please read this instruction book before using the appliance and r etain for future refer ence. These warnings ar e provided in the interests of your safe- ty , ensure you understand them fully before using the appliance. Intended Use • The appliance is intended for use in the home.
5 Daily Operation • Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refriger ator/freezer (e.g. electric ice cr eam makers, mixers etc.). • Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and disconnect from the electricity supply .
6 Remove T r ansport Packaging The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for tr ansport. • Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance.
7 Starting Up and T emperatur e Regulation Wash the inside of the appliance with lukewarm water with a little bicar- bonate of soda added (5ml to 0,5 litre of water). Do not use soap or deter- gent as the smell may linger . Dry the appliance thoroughly .
8 Interior Accessories Stor age Shelves The glass shelf above the fruit and vegetable compartment should always r emain in position, to ensure fruit and vegetables stay fresh longer . The r emaining storage shelves can be adjusted to various heights: Pull the storage shelf forwar d until it can be tipped up or down and remo- ved.

When freezing fresh food, depress the ambient temperatur e switch (A) 12 hours before loading the food without modifying the thermostat setting.

Whether the upper or lower value of the indicated sto- rage time is valid depends on the quality of the foods and pre-tr eating before freezing.
12 4. Insert the plastic scr aper into the recess provided under the defrost water channel and place a collecting basin under it. 5. Once defrosting is completed keep the scraper handy for future use; 6. Turn the thermostat knob to the requir ed setting or replace the plug in the power socket.
