12 818 19 26-00/0 Reversing the door The door hinges can be changed from right (as supplied) to left if requir ed to suit the location wher e the appliance is installed. 1 War n in g! Unplug from the mains befor e r eversing the door . Open the door and remove the plinth cover to the fr ont.

Remove the door fitting on the lower right (1) and r eposition the door bearing cover fr om the lower left to the right of the door (2), place the door fitting supplied in the lower left of the door (3). Carefully remove the door to the front and place on one side.

18 818 19 26-00/0 FAST FREEZE-button The FAST FREEZE function provides for quick fr eezing of fresh food pr oducts, and at the same time protects pr e- viously stored goods against undesir ed warming in the freezer compartment. 0 1. The FAST FREEZE function is switched on by pr essing the FAST FREEZE button.

A warning tone sounds and the red warning light flashes indicating that the requir ed storage temper ature has not yet been r eached.

The system warns if: – if the temperatur e in the freezer compartment is too warm; – functional disturbances at the appliance.
22 818 19 26-00/0 Fr eezing Except for the bottom drawer , which serves for storage purposes, all compartments and drawer s ar e suited for freezing. Important! • The temperatur e in the fr eezer compartment must be – 18 ° C or colder before fr eezing food.
818 19 26-00/0 23 Tips: • The following are suited for the packaging of fr ozen goods: – freezer bags and polyethylene wr aps; – plastic containers for fr ozen goods; – extra – thick aluminium foil. • The following are suitable for sealing bags and wrap: plastic clips, rubber bands o r tape.
24 818 19 26-00/0 Pr epar ation of Ice Cubes 0 1. Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water , place it in the freezer and leave to freeze. 2. To loosen the fr ozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tr ay or hold it under running water for a few seconds.
818 19 26-00/0 25 Defr osting During use and when the door is opened, moisture is deposited as fr ost inside the appliance, particularly on the evaporator . This frost must be re moved from time to time using a soft plastic scr aper . Under no cir- cumstances use hard or pointed objects for this purpose.
