7 Installation Installation Location The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry room. Energy use and efficient performance of the appliance is affected by the ambient temperatur e.
Y our R efriger ator N eeds A ir For correct oper ation this appliance must be located in a dry atmosphere, away fr om heat sources, e.g. cooker s, radiator s, boilers and direct sunlight. Y ou should also ensure that air can cir culate freely ar ound the back and the top of the cabinet.
Installation 9 and remove the hinge pin br acket (1). 3. Open the door a little way and take it out downwards. 4. Unscrew the upper pin (A) and scr ew it into place on the opposite side. 5. Fit the door into the upper pin (A) and close it. 6. Screw the hinge pin br acket (1) securely into place on the opposite side using the screws (K).

Description of the appliance 12 T emperatur e setting buttons The temperatur e is adjusted using the “+“ (WARMER) and “-“ (COLDER) buttons. These buttons are connected to the temper ature display .
13 Starting up and temper atur e regulation ☞ 1. Insert the plug into the plug socket. When the refriger ator compart- ment door is opened, the internal lighting is switched on. 2. Press ON/OFF button. The green mains pilot indicator illuminates. 3.
14 5. Once the requir ed temperatur e has been set, after a short period (approx. 5 sec.) the temper ature display will change and again indicate the current ACTUAL temper ature inside the fridge. The display will change from flashing to continuous illumination.
15 Switching off the appliance To switch off, pr ess the ON/OFF button until the mains power light extinguishes. If the appliance is not going to be u sed for an extended period: ☞ 1. Remove all refriger ated packages. 2. Switch off the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button until the mains power light extinguishes.
Interior Accessories 16 V ariable Inner Door The door compartments can be pulled up and removed, and inserted at other positions as needed. V ariable Storage Box (not on all models, design differs depending on the model) Some models are equipped with a variable stor age box which is fitted under a door shelf compartment and can be slid sideways.
17 Defr osting The fridge defr osts automatically The rear wall of the fridge cover s with frost when the compr essor is running, and defrosts when the compr essor is off. The water from the thawing frost evapor ates by itself. The water drainage hole must be cleaned r egularly (see the section "Cleaning and Care").
18 Cleaning and Car e For hygienic reasons the appliance interior , including interior acces- sories, should be cleaned regularly . Warning! • The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning.
19 Accumulation of dust at the condenser increases ener gy consumption. For this reason car efully clean the condenser at the back of the appli- ance once a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner . Ener gy Saving Tips • Do not install the appliance near cooker s, radiator s or other sources of warmth.
What to do if ... 20 Symptom P ossible Cau se Remedy Appliance does not work, green stand-by display and temperatur e display are not lit. Appliance is not switched on. Mains plug is not plugged in or is loose. Fuse has blown or is defec- tive Socket is defective.
What to do if ... 21 Symptom P ossible Cau se Remedy Unusual noises. Appliance is not level. The appliance is touching the wall or other objects. Readjust the feet. Move the appliance slightly . The compressor does not start immediately after pressing the COOLMA TIC button, or after changing the temperatur e setting.

24 Noises during Oper ation The following noises are char acteristic of refriger ation appliances: • Clicks Whenever the compressor switches on or off, a click can be hear d. • Humming As soon as the compressor is in oper ation, you can hear it humming.
25 T echnical terminology • Refrigerant Liquids that can be used to a generate a cooling effect ar e known as refriger ants. They have a relatively low boiling-point, indeed so low , that the warmth from the food stor ed in the fridge or freezer can cause the refriger ant to boil and vaporise.
