Operating the hob 12 After approx. 5 seconds, the flashing stops and the clock displays the time set. The appliance is now ready to use. 3 The time can only be changed if no auto matic function (Cook time or End time ) has been set. Initial Cleaning Y ou should clean the appliance thoroughly befor e using for the fir s t time.
13 Oper ating the hob 2 Switch the cooking zone off appr ox. 51 0 minutes befor e cooking is finished to make use of the r esidual heat. This saves electricity . 3 The cooker has popup ring swi tches . Press the ring switch to use it. The switch will then pop up.
Using the Oven 14 Switching on the dual fry/cook area 1 The control for the dual fry/cook ar ea is switched on by turning to the right, and cannot be turned past the stop! 1. Turn the dual f ry/cook contro l to the right. Continue turning to P osition 9, and onto the symbol (you will fee l a slight resistance).
15 Using the Oven Switching the Oven On and Off 1. Turn the ov en functions dial to the de sired function. 2. Turn the te mperatur e selector to the desired temper ature. The power indicator is lit as long as the oven is in operation. The temperatur e pilot light is lit as long as the oven is heating up.
Using the Oven 16 Inserting the Oven Shelf, Ba king Tr ay and Roasting P an 3 Shelf runner safety and antitip device As a shelf runner safety device, all insertab le components have a small curved indentation at the bo ttom on the right and lefthand edge.
17 Using the Oven Inserting the baking tr ay or roasting pan Push the baking tr ay or roasting pan be tween the guide bar s of the selected oven level. Inserting the oven s helf: Insert the oven shelf so that the fe et point downwards . Push the oven shelf betwee n the guide bars of the selected oven level.
Using the Oven 18 Inserting/Removing the Grease Filter Only use the grease filter when r oasting to protect the rear heating elements fr om fat splashes. Clock Functions Countdown To set a countdown. A signal sounds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the functioning of the ov en.
19 Using the Oven End time To set whe n the oven is to switch off again. Time To set, change or check the time (See also section “Befor e Using for the First Time”). 3 How to use the clock functions • After a function has been selecte d, the corr esponding function indicator flashes for about 5 seconds .
Using the Oven 20 2. Using the or button set the desired Countdown (max. 2 hours 30 minutes). After approx. 5 seconds the display shows the time r emaining. The function indicator Countdown lights up. When the time has elapsed, the function indicator flashes and an audible signal sounds for 2 minutes.
21 Using the Oven Cook time 1. Press the Selection button repeatedly until the function indicator Cook time flashes. 2. Using the or button set the desired cooking time. After approx. 5 seconds the display r eturns to showing the current time. The function indicator Cook time lights up.

23 Using the Oven Cook time and End time combined 3 Cook time and End time can be used simultaneously , if the oven is to be switched on and off automatically at a later time . 1. Using the Cook time function, set the time re quired f or cooking the dish.

25 Uses , Tables and Tips 3 We recomme nd when boiling or searing foods using the highest heat setting at first and then letting foods requiring a longe r cooking time finish cooking on the desired he at setting. 1 Overheated fats and oils can ignite quickly .
Uses, T ables and Tips 26 Baking Oven function: Fan cooking or Conventional Baking tins • For Conventional dark metal and nonstick tins are suitable. • For Fan cooking bright metal tins are also suitable. Oven levels • Baking with Conventional is possible on one oven level.
27 Uses , Tables and Tips 3 When froze n foods are use d the trays inserted may distort during cooking. This is due to the lar ge differ ence in temper ature between the fr eezing temperatur e and the temper ature in the oven. Once the tray s have cooled the distortion will disappear again.

35 Uses , Tables and Tips Grilling table Defr osting Oven function: Defros t (no temperatur e setting) • Unwrap the food and place it on a plate on the oven shelf. • Do not cover with a plate or bowl, as these can substantially lengthen the de frosting time.
Uses, T ables and Tips 36 Drying Oven function: Fan cooking • Use oven shelves cover ed with greaseproof paper or baking par chment. • Y ou get a better result if you switch the ove n off halfway thr ough the drying time, open the door and leave the oven to cool down overnight.
37 Cleaning and Care • P our approx. 1/2 litre of water into the baking tr ay so that sufficient moisture is produced in the oven. • As soon as the liquid starts to pearl in the first jar s ( after about 3560 minutes with 1 litre jars), switch the oven off or r educe the temperatur e to 1 00 °C (see table).
Cleaning and Care 38 Outside of the appliance • Wipe the front of the appliance with a soft cloth and warm water and wash ing up liquid. • For metal fr onts, use normal com mercially available cleaning agents. Cooking surface 1 Important: Cleaning agents must not be used on hot glass ceramic surfaces.
39 Cleaning and Care 3 If the cooking zone that has the melted materials on it has already cooled down, heat it up again befor e cleaning it. Scratche s or dark sta ins on the glass ceramic surface, that have been made e. g. by pot and pan bottoms with sha rp edges, cannot be r emo ved.

41 Cleaning a nd Care Changing the ov en light bulb/cleani ng the glass cover 1. Remove the glass cover b y turning it anti clockwise and then clean it. 2. If necessary: r eplace with 25 watt, 230 V, 300 °C heatr es istant oven lighting. 3. Refit the glass cover .
Cleaning and Care 42 Repos itioning the heating element 1. Move the heating element back up towar ds the oven ceiling. 2. Pull the heating element forwar ds against the spring pressur e and guide it over the oven support lug. 3. Settle it onto the supp ort.

45 Cleaning and Care 3. Close the oven door as far as the first posi tion (appr ox. 45°). 4. Take hold of the door trim (B) on the upper edge of the door at both sides and press in wards to r elease the clip seal. Then remove the door trim by pulling upwards .

Take hold of the door trim ( B) at each side, position it on the inside edge of the door and plug the door trim (B) into the upper edge of the door . 3 On the open side of the door trim (B) there is a guide bar (C). This must be pushed be tween the outer door panel a nd the guide corner (D).

49 Disposal 3 Advice on cookers with metal fr onts: Because of the cold surface at the fr ont of the cooke r , opening the oven door during (or just after) baking or roasting may cause the glass to steam up.
