6 Remove T ransport P ackaging The appliance and the interior fittings ar e protected for tr ansport. • Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces fr om the interior of the appliance. Y ou can remove any r emnants of adhesive using white spirit. Warning! Befor e disposing of old appliances make them inoperable.

Adjusting the upper door r ack • Depending on the food stored, the upper door racks can be changed to other holders or removed. T ake out the food from the door , press the door racks diagonally upwar ds at their edges, reposition them, and press them back into place.
10 Fr eezing and storing frozen food Y ou can use your freezer for fr eezing fresh food your self. Important! • The temperatur e in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder before fr eezing food. • Please observe the freezing capacity given on the r ating plate.
11 Fr ozen food Symbols/Freezing Calendar • The symbols on the drawer s show different types of fr ozen goods. • The numbers indicate stor age times in months for the appropriate types of frozen goods.
12 Switching off the appliance To switch off the appliance, turn the temperatur e regulator to position "0" or disconnect fr om the electricity supply . If the appliance is not going to be used for an extended period: 1. Remove all refriger ated and deep-frozen packages as well as ice tr ays.
