818 20 29-00/2 9 Installation Installation Location The appliance should be installed in a well ventilated, dry room. Energy use and efficient performance of the appliance is affected by the ambient temperatur e.

12 818 20 29-00/2 Reversing the door The door hinges can be changed from right (as supplied) to left if requir ed to suit the location wh er e the appliance is installed. 1 War n in g! Unplug from the mains befor e r eversing the door . Open the door and remove the plinth cover to the fr ont.

Remove the door fitting on the lower right (1) and r eposition the door hinge bracket cover fr om the lower left to the right of the door (2), place the door fitting supplied in the lower left of the door (3). Carefully remove the door to the front and place on one side.
14 818 20 29-00/2 7. Move the door handle from the left to the right and cover the remaining holes with the hole cover pins attached. 8. Open the door and fit the plinth cover .

18 818 20 29-00/2 Prior to Initial Start–Up 1 Before connecting the appliance to the mains and putt ing it into oper- ation for the fir st time, leave the a ppliance to stand for 30 minutes if was transported upright. After tr ans port on its side, the appliance must be left to stand for 2 hour s before putting it into oper ation.
818 20 29-00/2 19 T emper atur e Adjustment 0 1. Press either the „+“ (W ARMER) or „-“ (COLDER) button. The temperatur e display switches over and the DESIRED temperatur e currently set flashes on the temper atur e display . 2. To adjust to a warmer temperatur e, pr ess the „+“ (WARMER) button.

Control and Information Systems 818 20 29-00/2 21 When the temperatur e in the freezer falls below -1 1 °C, the warning tone switches off automatically . The red warning indicator will con- tinue to flash. If the WARNIN G OFF button is presse d now , the r ed warning indicator switches off.
22 818 20 29-00/2 Fr eezing Except for the bottom drawer , which serves for storage purposes, all compartments and drawer s ar e suited for freezing small quantities of fresh food. The two upper compartments ar e suited for fr eezing of large quantities of food.
818 20 29-00/2 23 Tips: • The follo wing ar e suited for the packaging of fr ozen goods: – freezer bags and polyethylene wr aps; – plastic containers for fr ozen goods; – extra–thick aluminium foil. • The following are suitable for sealing bags and wr ap: plastic clips, rubber bands o r tape.
