VENTILATION This p rojecto r is e quipped w ith a co oling f an to pr otect it from ov erheatin g. Pay attentio n to the follo wing to en sure the ventilation and avoid a possible risk o f f ire and ma l f un ct ion. • Do not cover the vents w ith papers or oth er mater ials.
Your projector uses nominal input voltages of 100-120 VAC. The projector automatically selects the correct input voltage. The projector is designed to work with single-phase power sy st ems havi ng a grounded neutral conductor. To reduce the risk of ele ct rical shock, do no t plug into any other type of pow er system.

CONNECTING TO T HE COM PUTER INPUT I TERMINAL (ANALOG HDB 15-PIN) Personal computers can be connected to the HDB1 5-pin (VGA) terminal on the projector. • Connect the computer to these terminals using the VGA cable and V G A/M AC adapter ( p rovided).
CONNECTING TO THE MONITOR OUTPUT TERMI NAL (A N A LOG HDB 15.PIN) This terminal output the information of the selected computer source bein g viewed on the screen (Computer 1 or Computer 2). W h en video source (“Video 1” or “Video 2) is select ed, this terminal outputs Computer 1 input information.

CONNECTING AN IBM-COMPATIBLE DESKTOP COMPUTER (DIGITAL INPUT CON NECTIONN) NOTE : Before using with digital connection, install (P lug in) Graphic Accelerator Board (i ncluded within projector) into P C I bus slot of the c omputer and set up the computer following instruc tions in the Graphic A c celer ator Board package.

This remote control unit is not only able to operate the projector but also usable as a wireless mouse for a PC. One pointing pad and two click buttons are used f o r wireless mouse operation. W i reless mouse is usable when PC mouse pointer is displayed on the screen.

CONTROL THE PROJECTOR The projector has two types of operation: DIRECT OPERATION and MENU OPERATI ON . D I RECT OPERATION allows you to operate the projector by using one button w it hout showing the M ENU. In M ENU O PERATION mode, you display menus where you can ad just the projectors settings.

TO TURN O N THE PROJECTO R Connect the projector to a source (Co m puter, VC R, Video Cam e ra, Video Disc Player, etc.) using the appropriate terminals on the side of the projector (See CONNECTING THE PROJECTOR section on pa g es 10 -21).
MODE SELECT Press the MODE button on the projector or the COM PUT ER and VIDEO b utton o n the re mote con trol uni t to sel ect Co mputer 1, Computer 2, Video 1 or Video 2 Input. T he “Comput er 1” , “Com pu t er 2”, “Video 1” or “Video 2” display wi l l appear on th e scr een for a few seconds.
DIGITAL ZOOM FUNCTION Press the D. ZOOM but ton on the wireless remote control unit. T he “ D .zoom” and the magni f y ing-glass icon is displ ayed to indicate Digita l zoom mode. D igit al zoo m mode can be adjust the i mage size or pan the image.
In MENU OPERATION mode, you can adjust the projector. You can use the TOP CONT R OL OF THE PROJECTOR or the REMOTE CO N T ROL UNIT. You can select a mode f r om M AIN MENU display among co mputer 1, computer 2, video 1, video 2. 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and the MAIN M EN U DISPLAY dialog box will appear.
SOUND A D JUSTMENT You can adjust the sound v olum e, treble, bass levels and Built-in SP., Sound M ut e ON/OFF switch in the M ENU display. 1. Press the MENU BUTTON and the MAIN ME N U DISPLAY dialog box will appear. 2. Pre ss the POIN T LEF T / RIGHT BU TTON(s) to select SOU ND and press th e SELECT (REAR CL ICK) BUT TON.
COLOR SYSTEM SELECT This projector is compatible with the six major broadcast video standards: PAL, SECAM, NTSC, NTSC 4.43, PAL-M and PAL-N (COLOR SYSTEMs). W h en t he colo r system is set t o “Aut o p osition” , this projector can detect one of 4 systems (PAL, SECAM , NTSC or NTSC 4.

Press MENU BUTTON and the MAIN MENU DISPLAY dialog box will appear. 2. Press the POINT LEFT/RIGHT BUTTON(S) t o select I M AGE and press the SELECT (REAR CLICK) BUTTON.
PICTURE SCRE EN A D JUSTMENT This projector has the W ide f unction, w hich enabl es y ou t o view a wider video image. W ID E function This projector is able to project not only a normal video image (with 4 x 3 aspect ratio), but also a wider video image by compressing 4 x 3 i mag e .
COMPUTER SYSTEM SELECT This projector is adjustable to diff e rent t y pes of computer display signals based on VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA or UXGA (See “COMPATIBLE CO M PUTER SPEC IFICATIONS” on the next page ).

PC A DJUSTM ENT NOTE: This function will be skipped w hen the incoming signal is digital. This projecto r can automatical ly detect most di splay signals fro m most personal compu ters currently distributed. However, some computers adopt a special si g nal fo r m at w hich is diff erent fr om the standa r d one and the projector cannot detect it.
6. Another dialog box “PC ADJUSTMENT DISPLAY 1” will appear and the parameter data for the Mode you have selected is shown in this dialog box. 7. The parameters will be filled with the data determined by the projector according to the present signal input.

Pre ss the POIN T LEFT/ RIGHT BU TTON(s) to se lect PC A DJUST and press the SELECT (R EAR CL ICK) BUTTON.
PICTURE SCREEN ADJUSTMENT This projector can adjust the image size and pan the image with PICTURE SCREEN ADJUSTMENT. 1. Pr ess M ENU BUT TON and M AI N MENU DISPLAY dialog box will appear. 2. Press POINT LEFT/RIGHT BUTTON( s ) to selec t SCREEN and press the SELECT (REAR CLICK) BUTTO N .
REVERSE T/B (On or Off) When this fun ction is in the “On” pos ition, th e top/ bottom pi cture re verse. REVERSE L/R (On or Off ) . When this fun ction is in the On ” positi on, the l eft/ri ght pictu re reve rse capability lets you project onto a rear projection screen.
REMO TE CONTR OL CODE CH A NGE (Mode 1 or Mode 2) This projector can be op er ated w ith two differ en t code, one is factory-set normal code (M O DE 1) a nd t he ot he r one is extended code (M O DE 2).
LA MP A GE The Lamp age function is des i g ned to reset the lamp replacement monitor timer. When replacing the lamp, reset the lamp replacement monitor timer by using this function. NOTE : Do n ot rese t the LAM P RE PLACEM ENT M ONITOR TIM ER, e xcept a fter the lamp is replace d.
TEMPER A TURE WARNING INDI CATOR The TEMPERAT URE W ARNING INDICATO R flashes red when t he internal temperature of the projector exceeds the normal temperature. Possible causes for the temperature warning may be: 1. Ventilation slots of the projector are blocked.
LAMP REPL A C EMENT W H EN THE PROJ EC T ION LAMP OF THIS PROJECTOR DRAW S TO AN END, THE LAM P REPL ACEMENT INDI CA T OR LIGHTS YELLOW AND THE W A RNI N G M ESSAG E “LAMP REPLACEMENT” APPEARS AS THE RIGHT FIGURE. W HEN T HE WARNING M ESSAG E IS DISPLAYED, THE PROJECTIO N LAMP SHOULD BE REPLACED.
CLE A NING THE LENS Follow these steps to clean the projection lens: 1. Apply a non-abrasive camera lens cleaner to a s of t , d r y cleaning clot h. A void using an excessive amount of cleaner. Abrasive cleaners, solvents or other harsh chemicals mi g ht scratch the le ns.
