3 Installing the Ice Maker The ice maker should be inst alled by a license d plum ber to be in accordance wit h local electrical and plumbin g code requirement s. Before you plug the ice maker in to a power sup ply , be sure to let it stand upright for at least 24 hours to allow the compressor’s oils to settle.

9 Normal Sounds Y our new icemaker may make soun ds that are not familiar to you. Most of the new sounds are normal. The maintenance intervals listed are based on normal conditions. Y ou may want to shorten the intervals if you have pets, or there are other special considerations.
11 Interior Cleaning The ice storage bin should be saniti zed occasionally. Clean the wat er trough before the ice maker is used for the first time and reu sed after stopping for an extended period of time. It is usually conv enient to sanitize the trou gh after the ice making system has been clea ned and the ice storage bin i s empty.

13 Condenser Cleaning A dirty or clogged condenser prevents prope r airflo w, reduces ice making capacity, and causes higher than recommend ed operating temperatures that may lead to component failure. Have the condenser cl eaned at least once every six months.
