8 EJ78X-1-INS-LAB-RevC13 FOR A TTENDANT : TIL TING Tilting the T ransport Chair backward is generally r equired to negotiate such obstacles as ramps, inclines, curbs, stairs and door sills. Tilting should only be performed by an attendant. T o tilt the T ranspor t Chair backwar d: 1.

Stand behind the T ranspor t Chair , holding the hand grips, facing the curb. 3. Advise the user that you will be tilting backwar d and r emind the user to lean back.
