4 DX-PS12CC Setting up the shredder War n i ng : Crosscut shr edders have very sharp exposed blades on the underside. Use car e when mounting the shredder on the wastebasket. Caution : The shredder should not be plugged in duri ng assembly . Note : The following i llustr ations ar e for inf ormat ion purposes only .
12-sheet Crosscut Paper Shredder 5 3 Slide the wastebask et out of the shr edder body . 4 Using the handle on the shredder head , lift and gently place the shredder head onto the rim of the shredder body . Make certain the clips on the edge of the body are lined up with the openings underneath the shredder head .
6 DX-PS12CC 5 When aligned, gently push down on the shredder head until it sits flush on the shredder body . (There should be no space between the shredder head and the shredder body . ) 6 Complete assembly by sliding the wast ebasket back in. Plug shr edder into a nearby socket-outlet and switch the pow er mode ov er to “ Auto ” .

10 DX-PS12CC Specifications The shredder runs in "Rev" mode but not in " Auto " mode. • While in " Auto " mode, the motor will no t start running until paper is inserted into the feed slot. Set the unit to " Auto " and inser t the paper to be shredded.
