7 Setting the Current Da te The default date forma t depends upon the language select ion for the label maker . Y ou can change the default date format by follo wing the instruct ions in Changin g the Da te F ormat on page 13. T o se t the date 1. Press .
8 The display window can accommodat e 16 upper- case characters. As y ou t ype more characters, they begin t o scroll to the left. (See Figure 6.) 10 T o set the font style 1. Press the key . 2. Use the arrow keys to move to the desired style and then pr ess . Y ou can also use label text stored in memory as background t ext on your label.
11 Creating Multi-Line Labels The number of lines you can print on a label de pends on the width of the label you are using: • Maximum of five lines on 3/4" (19 mm) and 1” (24 mm) labels • .
12 Using S ymbols and Special Charac ters Symbols and othe r special characters can be added to your labels . 14 Printing Options Y ou can print multiple copies of a label at one time, print serialized labels, print fixed-length labels , review label te x t and format , and adjust the pri nting cont rast. Printing Multiple Copies Y ou can print up to 16 copies of a label a t one time.
15 The barcode prints horizont ally along the label with the text in small print un derneath the barc ode. Y ou can optionally add tex t before and after the barcode. Or , you can add text above or be low the barcode by creati ng a two-line label. See Creating Multi-Line Labe ls on page 11.
