3 About Y our New Printer With your new DYMO RhinoPRO ™ 3000 label printer , you can c reate a wide variety of hig h- quality , self-adhesive labels. Y ou can choose to print your labe ls in many different sizes and style s. The printer uses DYMO Rh inoPRO Industrial label cassettes in widths of 3/8” (9 mm), or 1/2” (12 mm) .
4 Inserting the T ape Cassette Y our printer comes with one lab el tape cassette. Vis it www.dymo.com/industrial for information about purchasing ad ditional label casse ttes. T o insert the tape cassette 1. Pre ss the thumb catch on the right side of the printer to open the tape cassette door.
5 Printing Y our First Label Y ou are now ready to prin t your first label. T o print a label 1. Enter text to crea te a simple label. 2. Press . 3. Cut the l abel by pressing the cuttin g lever towards the back of the printer. See Figure 6. Figure 6 4.
6 Escape Key The Escape key returns you to the s tarting point from within any fu nction. Navigation Key Y ou review and edit your l abel using the arrows on the Navigation ke y .
7 For example, if Frenc h is selected as the languag e and you repeated ly press the letter a , you will s ee aàâæ and so on through all the variations available. The c haracter variations and the or der in which the variation s appear depend on the language you ha ve selected to use.
8 Deleting a Label from Memory When you no longer ne ed a stored label, you c an delete it from memory . T o delete a label from memory 1. Press . The m emory locations are displayed. 2. Use the arrow keys to move to the memory location that co ntains the label you wan t.
9 Y ou can specify a fixed length for a labe l in 0.1” (2 mm) increments between 1.5” (40 mm) and 25.0” (650 mm). The pre set fixed length is 1.5” (40 mm). Any change you make to the fixed length setting remains i n effect until you change it.
10 Location Hot Key Audio/V ideo Hot Key V oice/Data Hot Key Security Hot Key These pre-defined tex t keys can be very powerful when used with fla g and wrap mode. The followi ng example shows how to quic kly print a flag label for a speaker wire in your home-entertain ment system.
11 Printing Options Y ou can choose to print multiple copies o f the same label, print serial ized labels, or print a c ombination of both. Printing Multiple Co pies Y ou can print up to 50 copies of the same label at one time. When prin ting multiple copies, a do tted cut-line is printe d between each label.
12 Cleaning Y our Printer Y our printer is designed to give you long and trouble-free service, whil e requiring very little maintenance. Clean your printer from time to time to keep it working properly . Clean the cutter b lade each time you repla ce the label cassette.
