5 About Y our New Label Mak er Wi th the DYM O® LabelManager® 210D electronic lab el maker , you ca n create a wi de variety of high-q uality , self-adh esive labels.
6 Connecting the O ptional P ower Adapt er An optional 9 V olt, 1.5 A power adapter can also be used t o power the label maker . Connec ting the AC adapter to the label make r disconnects the batter ies as a power sourc e. T o connect the power adapter 1.
7 Using the Label Mak er for the First Time The firs t time you turn on the pow er , you ar e asked t o select the language . This selection will remain set un til you change it, or until the label maker is reset. Y ou can ch ange this selection using the I key.
8 L CD Display Y ou can enter up to 99 char ac ters and spaces . The display show s about 13 charac ters a t a time. The number of characters displa yed will var y due to proportional spacing. With D YMO’ s ex clusive graphical display , most of the form atting you add is visible instantly .
9 Num Lock The key pr ovides acc ess to the numbers locat ed on some of the alphabet ic keys. When Num Lock mode is turned o n, the Num Lock ind icator is shown on the disp lay and the numbers 0 t hrough 9 appear when you press the corresponding letter keys.
10 Adding Font Styl es Y ou can choose from six different font styles: The style y ou select applies to all characters . St yles can be used with alpha numeric characters and some symbols. T o set the font style 1. Press 2 . 2. Select Style and pr ess } .
11 T o add an under line 1. Press 2 . 2. Select Un derlin e and press } . 3. Press } again when the und erlined tex t is shown in the display . On two- line labels, both lines are underlined. Creat ing Tw o -Line Labels Y ou can print a maximum of two lines on labels .
12 Using S ymbols and S pecial Charac ters Symbols, punctuation, and other sp ecial characters can be adde d to your labels. Adding Symbols The l abel maker supports the extended sy mbol set shown below . T o insert a symbol 1. Press 8 , select Sym bols , and pr ess } .
13 Adding Punc tuation Y ou can quickly add punctuation usin g the punc tuation shor tcut key . T o insert punc tuation 1. Press . 2. Select the punctuation mark y ou want and pr ess } . Using the Currency Key Y ou can q uickly add a currency symb ol using the cur rency shor tcut key .

Y ou can recall sa v ed labels and you can insert save d text into a lab el. S aving a Label Y ou can s av e up to nine frequently-used labels.
16 T o inser t sav ed text 1. Position the cursor at the loc ation in th e label where you want t o inser t the text. 2. Press 8 . The first memory location is displayed. 3. Use the arrow k eys to selec t the text you want to insert. 4. Press } . The text is inser ted in the c urrent label.
