5 About Y our New Label Mak er Wi th the DYMO® LabelManager® 120P electr onic label maker , you can create a wide variety of hi gh- quality , self-adhesive labe ls. Y ou can choose t o print your labels in many different font sizes and styles. The label maker uses DYMO D1 tape cassettes in widths of 3/8” (9 mm) or 1/2” (12 mm).
6 Inser ting the T ape Cassette Y our label maker comes with one tape cassette. Vis i t www . dy mo .c om for information about purchasing additional tape cassettes. T o insert the tape cassette 1. Lift th e tape cassette cover to open the tap e compartment.
7 T o set up the label maker 1. Press to turn on the power . 2. Selec t the language and press } . By default , the language is set to En glish. T h e language option you choose determines the ch aracter se t that is available. 3. Selec t the width of the tape c assette currently in the label maker and press } .
8 L CD Display Y ou can enter up to 99 charac ters and sp aces. The display shows about 13 characters at a time. T he number of characters displayed will v ar y due to proportional spacing. With D YMO’ s ex clusive graphical display , most of th e formatting you add is visible instant ly.
9 Num Lock The key pr ovides access to th e numbers located on some of the alphabetic keys. When Num Lock mode is turned on, the N um Lock indicator is shown on the d isplay and the numbers 0 thr ough 9 ap pear when you press the corresponding letter keys.
10 T o set the font siz e ♦ Press . The font size indicator on the displa y changes as you select font sizes. Adding Font Sty les Y ou can choose different font styles: The style y ou select applies to all characters . Styles can be used with alphanumeric characters and some symb ols .
11 Using S ymbols and S pecial Charac ters Symbols and other special characters can be added to your labels. Adding Symbols The l abel maker supports the symbol set shown here . T o insert a sym bol 1. Press . 2. Use the left and right arr ow keys to move to y our desired symbol.
12 T o add accented charac ters 1. Press . The accented character indicator is shown on the d isplay . 2. Press an alpha character . The accent variations are displa yed. 3. When the desir e d accent ed character appears, wait a few seconds for the cursor to move beyond the charac ter to continue entering text.
13 Caring for Y our Label Maker Y our label maker is designed to give you long and trouble -free ser vice, while requiring v er y little maintenance. Clean y our label maker from time t o time to keep i t working pr operly . Clean the cutter bl ade each time you r eplace the tape cassette.
