3 A S SE MB LY Legs installation: Position the stove on its back and screw the legs in place with 8 screws, 8 bolts, an d 8 washers; A sh lip Install ation: Screw in place w ith 2 bolts, 2 screws, and 2 washers.
4 Cast iron flue collar i nstallation: 1. Peel of f the tape from the back of the gasket and attac h the gasket to the rope groove at the back o f the f lue collar; 2. Mount flue collar on top of the stove. Make sure tha t the damper ho les on each side o f the f lue collar are parallel to th e back of the stove; 3.

7 C HI MNE Y Your wood stove may be hooked up with a factory built or m asonry chimney. If you are using a f actory built chimney, it must comply with UL 103 sta ndards; th erefore it must be a Type HT (210 0°F). It is extremely imp ortant that it b e installed according to the manuf acturer's specification s.
8 C HI MNE Y CO NN E CT OR ( ST OV E PI PE ) The stove pipe must be made of aluminized or cold roll steel with a minimum thickness of 0.021" o r 0.53 mm. I t is strictly forbidden to u se galvaniz ed steel. Your smoke pipe should be assembled in such a way th at the mal e section of the pipe faces down.

W aste s and othe r f lammable materials should not be burnt in your wood stove. Any type of wood may be used in your sto ve, b ut specific vari e ties have better e nergy yields than others.
14 Smaller piece s of wood will dry faste r. All logs exceeding 6" in diam eter should be split. The wood sho uld not be sto red directly on the ground. Air should circulate through the cord. A 24 " to 48" a ir space sh ould be left between each row of logs, which should be placed in the su nniest location possible.
15 A SH D IS PO SA L Ashes sh ould be remo ved from the stove every few days or when ashes get to 2 to 3 inches deep . Alway s e mpty the stove when it is cold, such a s in the morning. Always dispose of ashes in a metal containe r with a tight fitting lid.
