9 REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY REMOTE CO NTR OL BATTERY The remote co ntrol requires one “button-ty p e” 3-volt lithiu m battery, includ ed. To extend the life of the origi nal batte ry we have i nserted a small clear plastic sp acer tab between the lithi um bat tery a nd the batte ry terminal.
10 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Make sure t he AC power cord fr om this u nit is pr operly co nnected to a 110V 60Hz h ou s ehold AC power outle t. Make sure tha t the minimum distanc e around the whole unit for sufficien t ventila tion is 10cm.

15 Back Up Fun ction If the AC supply is int errupted, the clock dis play will go off and the clock se tting will be ca nceled. To back up the cloc k, insert one 9V battery ( not supplied ) i n the b attery c ompartme nt in t he base of the unit. The back up battery is not i Pod operation.
