3 SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS Genera l Instru ctions – T o en sure co rrect oper ation, user has t o read this inst ruction manual to make himself fa miliar w ith the handling of the string trimmer . Users insu fficiently inform ed wil l risk da nger t o themse lves as well as others due t o improp er handling.
4 Start the st ring t rimme r onl y in accor dance wit h the ins truct ions. Do not use any other methods for startin g the engine! – Use the str ing trimm er and the too ls only f or such applica tions as sp ecified. – Only start the string t rimmer eng ine, after the entire assembly is done.
5 Meth od of opera tion – Only use the string trim mer in good lighting and visibility . During the winter season beware of slippe ry or wet areas, ice and snow (risk of slipping). Always ensure a sa fe foot ing. – Never cut above the waist height.

8 C AU T I ON : Before doing any work on the string trimmer , always switch of f the engi ne and pull the spark p lug connect or off the spa rk plug. Always wear prote ctive glov es. C A U T I O N : St art the string trimmer only after having assembled it completely .
9 T o meet the appli cable safety pr ovisions, only the tool/prote ctor combinatio ns as indicated in the table mus t be used. Be sure to u se genuine DOLMAR nylon cutting head. – If the nylon cutti ng head hits ag ainst a sto ne during operation , stop t he engine and check the nylon cutting head immediately .
10 Turn th e m achin e upsid e down , and y ou can re pla ce the nylon cuttin g head . – Insert the hex wre nch thr ough the ho le in the ge ar c ase and rotate the receiver washer (3) until it is locked with the hex wrench. – Loosen the n ut (1) ( left-hand threa d) with the sock et wrenc h and remove the nut (1), an d clamp wash er (2).
11 Handling f uel Utmost care is re quired w hen handli ng fuel. Fu el may cont ain sub stances similar to solvents. Refue l either in a well vent ilated room or ou tdoors. Do not inhale f uel va pors, av oid any cont act of fuel or oil with yo ur ski n.
12 CORRECT HANDLING OF MACHINE Attachment of shoulder str ap – Adjust th e str ap length so th at the cutter blade will be kep t parallel with the ground. Detachment – In an emer gency , push the notc hes (1) at both sides, and you can de tach the machine from you.
13 Note: – If th e starter knob i s pulled r epeatedly when t he cho ke button remains a t “ ” position, the engine will not start e asily due to excessive f uel intake. – In cas e of excessi ve fuel int ake, r emove t he s park plug an d pull the sta rter kno b slowl y to remove excess fuel.
14 If the nylon cord does not feed out proceed as follows: 1. Release the co ntrol lever to run the engine idle and then squeeze the contr ol lever fully .
15 – Align th e prot rusion on the undersi de of the cove r with the s lots o f the eyelets. Then p ush cove r firmly onto th e housing to secure it.

17 STORA G E – When the machine is in storage for a long t ime, drain fuel fro m the fuel tank and carb uretor, as follows : Drain all fu el from th e fuel tank. Dispos e of properly and in accorda nce with all local laws. – Remove t he spark plu g and a few dro ps of oil in to the spark plug hole.

29 Retourner la machine afin de pouvoir placer facilemen t la t ê te d e coupe à f il. – Ins é rer la cl é hexag onale dans le trou du carter de la bo î te de vit esse et faire effectuer une rotation à la rond elle d ’ acco uplement (3 ) jusqu ’à ce qu ’ elle soit verrouill é e au m oyen de la cl é hexagonale.
30 Manipul ation du car burant: La manipulati on du carburant exige un soin extr ê me. Le carb urant peut contenir des substa nces simi laires au x solvants. P roc é der a u rav itailleme nt dans un e pi è ce bi en a é r é e ou à l ’ ext é rieu r .
31 Fixation du harnais: – Ajuster la longu eur du h arnais de sorte que la t ê te de coup e à fi l reste parall è le au sol. Retrait – En cas d ’ urgenc e, pousser l es encoch es (1) aux deux ext r é mit é s et reti rer alors la machine. Etre extr ê mement prude nt pour garde r le contr ô le de la machine lors de cette op é rati on.
32 Attent ion: – Si vous actionnez la manet te de demarrage a plusieurs reprises alors que le bouton d'etran glement es t sur la position “ ” , le moteur ne demarr era pa s facil ement a caus e d'une admiss ion exc essive du c arburan t.

Rel â cher le levier de com mande pour faire fonctionne r le moteur en marche à vide puis abaisser compl è tement le levier de commande. R é p é ter c ett e proc é dure jusqu ’à ce que le fil en nylon se d é roule à la longueur correcte.

43 PRECAUCIÓN: Antes de realizar cualquier trabaj o con la cortabordes, apagar el motor y separar el conecto r de la bujía. Llevar siempre quantes! PRECAUCIÓN: Arrancar la cortabordes sólo después de haberlo montado completam ente. – Introd uzca el eje co nductor en la caja del soporte.

46 Manipulac ión del c ombustible La m á xima atenci ó n se requiere cuando se manipule el combustible . El combustib le puede con tener sust ancias simila res a los disolv entes.
47 USO CORRECTO DE LA M Á QUINA Colocaci ó n de la correa par a el hombr o. – Ajustar la longitud de la c orrea de forma que la hoja d e corte quede parale la al suelo. Separaci ó n – En caso de emergencia, emp uje las muescas (1) en ambos lados, y usted puede separar la m á quina de usted.
48 Note: – Si extrae la manivel a de arranque con demasiada r epeticl ó n cuando la bot ó n el estrangulador se mantiene en la posici ó n “ ” , se pone en marcha con mucha difi cultad debido a que se respira demasiado combusti ble.
49 S i la cuerda de n y lon no se alimenta autom á ti camente , h acer lo siguie nte. 1. Soltar la palanca de la mariposa de gases para hacer marchar el motor en vacio y a pretar completam ente la palanca de la mari posa de gas es. Repetir hasta qu e la cuerda de nylon salg a hasta la longitu d adecuada.
