5 Refueli ng - Bef ore ref ueling, stop the engin e. - Never refuel n ear naked flames - Do not smoke when refueli ng. - Always allow suf ficient time for the engine to cool down before refue ling. - T ake care not to let yo ur skin com e into con tact with petrole um products.

12 STOPPING THE ENGINE 1. Release the throttle lever . 2. Push the I-O switch to the "O" positio n (5) to stop the engine. The cutter blades of the pole hedg e trimmer should no t move when the thr ottle lever is rele ased. - The correct idling speed is 3000 min -1 .
13 - When working w ith the pole hedge trimmer , firmly grasp the h andles with both hands. - Do not touch the cutter blade portion of the pole hedge trimmer dur ing operation, or when the engine i s runnin g. - T a ke extra car e not to inhal e exhaust ga ses when wor king with th e pole hedge trimmer .
14 Adjustmen t of cutting angle 1. Stop the pole hedge trimmer engine and lay the machine on the ground. 2. T o adjust the angle of the cutter unit, loosen the clamp l ever located at the top of th e cutter uni t by turni ng it counte r-clockwis e. 3.
15 Blade ad justments Extended use of the pole hed ge trimmer will gra dually wear d own the bl ades. Readjust the blades if cutting performance deteriorates noticeably . For adjustment of the blades foll ow the inst ructions belo w. 1. Relea se nut Ԙ .

17 STORA GE If the pole hedge trimmer is to be stored fo r an extended period of time, proceed as foll ows: - Drain all fuel from the tank and carburetor . - Remov e the spa rk plug and add a few drop s of two- strok e oil through the spar k plug hole.
18 EMISS ON COMPLIANCE PERIOD For handheld engine : The Emissions Compliance Period referred to on the Emissions Compliance label indicates the number of operating hours for which the engine has been shown to meet Federal emission requirements. Category C=50 hours, B=125 hours, and A=300 hours.

31 ARR Ê T DU MO TEUR 1. Re l â cher l e levier d ’é trangleur . 2. Pousser l ’ interrupteur I-O sur la position “ O ” pour arr ê ter le moteur . Les lames de coupe d e la taille haie ne doivent pas tourne r lorsque le levier d ’é trangleur est rel â ch é .
32 - En travaillant ave c la taille haie, tenir fermement l a poign é e avec les deux mains. - Ne pas toucher la lame de coupe de la taille haie pendant l ’ utili sation ou lorsque le moteur est en marche. - Faire attention à ne pas inhaler les gaz d ’é chappement en travaillant avec la taille haie.
33 R é glage d e l ’ angle d e coupe 1. Ar r ê ter le moteur de la taille haie et allonger la machine sur le sol. 2. Pour r é gler l ’ angle de l ’é l é ment de coupe, desserrer le levier de crochet situ é au- dessus de l ’é l é ment de coupe en le tourn ant dans le sens c ontraire des aiguilles d ’ un e montr e.
34 Réglage des lames L ’ util isation prolong é e de la taille haie a b î me gr aduellemen t les lames . Ajuster de nouveau les lames si les performances de coupe se d é t é riorent remarquablement. Pour r é gler les lames, suivre les instructions ci-dessous.
35 Ajout de graisse et de lubrifiant - La bo î te de vitesses de la taille ha ie à rallonge doit ê tre graiss é e toutes les 20 heures de travail. Ajouter environ 10 C C de lubrifiant (Shell Alvania No. 3 ou é quivalent) à la bo î te d e vitesse via les é crous à graisse .
36 REMISA GE Si la taille hai e doit ê tre rang é e pendant une longue p é riode, proc é der comme suit : - Vider le ca rburant d u r é ser voir et du carbur ateur . - Retirer la boug ie d ’ allumag e et ajouter quelques g outtes d ’ huile à deux te mps dans la fente de la bougie d ’ allumage.

47 P ARAD A DEL MO T OR 1. Suelte la palanca de la mariposa de gases. 2. Presione el interruptor I-O a la posici ó n “ O ” para p arar el motor . Las cuchil las de c ortador del Cor tasetos Articulado de Altur a no deb en moverse cuando se suelta la palanc a de la maripos a de gases.
48 - Cuando trabaje con el Cortasetos Articulado de Altura, empu ñ e firmemente los mangos con ambas manos. - No toque l a parte de la cuchilla de c ortador del C ortasetos Articulado de Altura durante el funcionamiento o cuando el motor est á en marcha.
49 Ajuste del á ngulo de cort e 1. Apague el mo tor del Cortase tos Articulado de Altura y apo ye la m á quina sobre el suelo. 2. Para ajustar el á ngulo de la unidad de cortador , afloje la palanca de fijaci ó n en la parte superior de la unida d de cor tador , gir á ndola hacia la izquie rda.
50 Ajuste s de cuchil la Un uso prolongado del Cortasetos Articulado de Altura desgastar á gradualmente las cuchillas. Vuelva a ajustar las c uchillas si nota que empieza a cortar mal . Para el ajuste de las cuchillas, siga las i nstrucciones a continuaci ó n.
51 Adici ó n de grasa y lu bricante - La caja de en granajes del Corta setos A rticulado d e Altur a debe e ngrasarse cada 20 horas de funcionamiento . Agregue unos 10cc de lubricante (Shell Alvania No. 3 o equivalente) en la caja d e engranajes a tr av é s de los tubos de grasa.
52 ALMA CENAMIENTO Si se va a guardar el Cort asetos Art iculado de Altura d urante un largo per í odo de tiempo, realice lo si guiente: - Drene todo el combustible del tanque y carburador. - Desmonte la buj í a de encendido y agregue unas gotas de acei te de dos carr eras por el orificio de la buj í a de encendido.
