2 ENGLISH IMPOR T ANT SAFETY Read the Operating Instructions carefully and completely before operating the unit. Be sure to keep the Operating Instructions for future reference. All warnings and cautions in the Operating Instructions and on the unit should be strictly followed, as well as the safety suggestions below.
ENGLISH 3 En Object and Liquid Entry – Never push objects of any kind into this unit through the cabinet slots as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the unit.
Power supply Using on AC house current Connect the AC cord as illustrated below. CAUTION Use only the supplied AC cord. Use with other cords may result in the risk of fire. Using on batteries Open the lid of the battery compartment on the rear and insert eight R14 (size C) batteries, not supplied, with the 0 and 9 marks correctly aligned.
ENGLISH 5 En Use Type I (normal) tapes only. INSERTING A TAPE Press Z STOP/EJECT to open the cassette holder and insert a tape with the exposed side up and the side to be played facing out. Push the cassette holder to close. PLAYING A TAPE Press x PLAY while the power is off.
6 ENGLISH 1 Select RADIO with FUNCTION. The power is turned on. 2 Press s STOP/BAND repeatedly to select the desired band. FM AM The previously tuned station is received. 3 Press r , t (TUNING DOWN, UP) to select a station. During FM stereo reception, is displayed.
ENGLISH 7 PRESETTING STATIONS You can preset up to 15 stations in each band. 1 Select a station. 2 Press PROGRAM once so that “M” is displayed to store the station. A station is assigned a preset number, beginning from 1 in consecutive order for each band.
8 ENGLISH 1 Select CD with FUNCTION. The power is turned on. 2 Press PUSH OPEN to open the disc compartment. Place a disc with the printed side up and close the disc compartment. PUSH OPEN Total number of tracks and total playing time are displayed. 3 Press e PLAY/PAUSE/PRESET ( e PLAY/PAUSE) to start play.
ENGLISH 9 PROGRAMMED PLAY Up to 16 tracks can be programmed from the disc. 1 In stop mode, press PROGRAM. 2 Press r , t to select a track, then press PROGRAM to store it. 3 Repeat step 2 to program other tracks. 4 Press s to finish the program. 5 Press e to start play.

ESPAÑOL 13 E MANEJO DE LA PLATINA A Para evitar el borrado accidental de la cinta Romper las pesta ñ as de pl á stico de la cinta con un destornillador u otro art í culo puntiagudo despu é s de grabar. Para volver a grabar en una cinta Cubrir los orificios de las pesta ñ as con cinta adhesiva, etc.
14 ESPAÑOL 1 Seleccione RADIO con FUNCTION. Se enciende el aparato. 2 Pulsar repetidamente s STOP/BAND para seleccionar la banda deseada. FM AM Se recibe la emisora sintonizada previamente. 3 Pulsar r , t (TUNING DOWN, UP) para seleccionar una emisora.
ESPAÑOL 15 E MEMORIZACI Ó N DE EMISORAS Se pueden memorizar hasta un total de 15 emisoras en cada banda. 1 Seleccionar una emisora. 2 Pulsar PROGRAM una vez de manera que se indique “ M ” para almacenar en memoria la emisora. La emisora recibe un n ú mero de memoria, empezando por el 1 en orden consecutivo para cada banda.
16 ESPAÑOL 1 Seleccione CD con FUNCTION. Se enciende el aparato. 2 Pulsar PUSH OPEN para abrir el compartimiento del disco. Colocar un disco con el lado impreso hacia arriba y cerrar el compartimiento. PUSH OPEN Se indica en la pantalla el n ú mero total de pistas y el tiempo total de reproducci ó n.
ESPAÑOL 17 E REPRODUCCI Ó N PROGRAMADA Se puede programar la reproducci ó n de hasta 16 pistas de un disco. 1 Oprima PROGRAM en la modalidad de parada. 2 Pulsar r o t para seleccionar una pista y pulsar despu é s PROGRAM para almacenarla en la memoria.

20 FRANÇAIS Alimentation Alimentation sur le secteur Raccorder le cordon secteur comme indiqu é ci- dessous. ATTENTION Utiliser exclusivement le cordon secteur fourni.
FRANÇAIS 21 F FONCTIONNEMENT DE LA CASSETTE A Pour é viter tout effacement accidentel Briser les ergots en plastique de la cassette à l ’ aide d ’ un tournevis ou de tout autre instrument pointu apr è s l ’ enregistrement. Pour enregistrer de nouveau sur la cassette Recouvrir les cavit é s des ergots avec du ruban adh é sif ou autre.

24 FRANÇAIS 1 S é lectionner CD avec FUNCTION. L ’ appareil se met sous tension. 2 Appuyer sur PUSH OPEN pour ouvrir le tiroir du disque. Mettre un disque avec la face imprim é e orient é e vers le haut et refermer le tiroir du disque. PUSH OPEN Le nombre total de plages et la dur é e de lecture totale s ’ affichent.
FRANÇAIS 25 F LECTURE PROGRAMM É E Il est possible de programmer un maximum de 16 plages du disque. 1 En mode d ’ arr ê t, appuyer sur PROGRAM. 2 Appuyer sur r ou t pour s é lectionner une plage, puis appuyer sur PROGRAM pour la m é moriser. 3 Recommencer l ’ op é ration 2 pour programmer les autres plages.
