1 SR835 Cr ossov er INTRODUCTION Congratulations, and thank you for y our purchase of the DOD SR835 Cr ossover . The SR835 is a high quality sound reinfor cement tool capable of pr oviding your P A or sound reinfor cement system with speaker pr otection and the increased clarity and efficiency that results when bi-amping, or tri-amping.
2 SR835 Cr ossov er FRONT P ANEL 1. P ow er Switch - Used to engage or disengage the power to the SR835. 2. Mono/Stereo Switch - This switch configures the SR835 as tw o indepen- dent channels of 2 wa y splits, or one channel with a 3 wa y split. When the switch is in and the LED is lit, the SR835 is in Mono mode .
SR835 Cr ossov er REAR P ANEL 1. High Bal - This is a TRS balanced output for the high frequencies in both Mono mode and Channel 2 in Stereo mode. 2. High Unbal - This is an unbalanced out put for the high frequencies in both Mono mode and Channel 2 in Stereo mode.
4 SR835 Cr ossov er INST ALLA TION Install the crosso ver in a rack with the pro vided rack screws. Route the AC power cor d to a convenient po wer outlet a wa y from audio lines.
SR835 Cr ossov er BI-AMP APPLICA TIONS For bi amp applications, the SR835 must be set to the Stereo mode r egardless of whether you ar e running in stereo or mono . The Stereo mode configures the SR835 as two individual channels, each providing a tw o way split.
6 SR835 Cr ossov er TRI-AMP APPLICA TIONS For tri amp applications, the SR835 must be set to the Mono mode. The Mono mode configures the SR835 as one channels pr oviding a three wa y split. If you are running y our sound system in stereo , you would need tw o SR835s in order to run a Stereo tri amp configuration.
7 SR835 Cr ossov er Begin sending signal through the system. Gradually increase the High, then Mid, and finally Low Le vels in order checking for cor rect wiring. Then balance the tonality of the source signal.Y ou may also need to increase the Gain if a str onger signal is requir ed.
