P ressing a 2nd time (within 5 seconds) after arming will honk the horn. Button The unlocking/disarming function is controlled by pressing this button for one second.

9 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. unlocking/disarming P ressing for one second disarms the system and unlocks the doors (if connected). The horn will honk twice (if connected and in audible mode) and the parking lights will flash twice to confirm disarming of the system.
10 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. T o disarm the security system, turn the ignition to the ON posi- tion. P ress and release the V alet switch within 10 seconds. The status LED will stop flashing and the vehicle should start. If the vehicle does not start, you may have waited too long; turn the ignition off and repeat the process.
11 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. T o enter or exit V alet ® Mode: 1. T urn the ignition on. 2. T urn the ignition off. 3. P ress and release the V alet® switch within 10 seconds. The status LED will light steadily if you are entering V alet ® M ode and will turn off if you are exiting V alet ® Mode.
12 © 2005 directed electronics, inc. V alet Mode and the battery is disconnected for any reason, such as servicing the car , when the batter y is reconnected the unit will still be in V alet Mode. This applies to all states of the system including arm, disarm, and panic mode.
