Remember , this is n ot th e only way your tran smitter m ay be set up. Y ou can activate , or arm, the system by pressin g on your tran smitter for one secon d .
7 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . When armed, your v ehicle is protected in the follo wing w ays: ■ Ligh t impacts will trigger th e W arn Away ® si gnal. Wh en trigg ered, th e sir en will chirp and th e parking ligh ts will flash for a few secon ds.
8 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . ■ Pressin g a third tim e within five seconds: The sir en chirps three tim es followed by a long chirp. Z on e Four is now bypassed. ■ Pressin g a fourth time within five secon ds: Th e siren chirps four tim es followed by a long chirp.
9 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . T o disarm the security system, turn the i gnition to the "on" position. Pr ess the V alet switch the selected n umber of times (1-5 presses) within 15 secon ds.
10 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . T o disable the back-up battery siren, f ollo w these steps: 1. Locate the back-up battery sir en. 2. Remove th e water protective cap on the back sid e of the sir en to e xpose the sir en lock switch.

P o wer Sav er Mode Y our system will automati cally en ter P ower Saver Mode while armed or in V alet Mod e , after a period o f time in whi ch no opera- tion has been perf ormed. This lowers th e curr ent d raw on the vehicle's battery an d prevents th e system fr om dr aining the bat- tery .
