In the W indows 2000 operating system it is pos- sible that the modem will not appear in the “Safely Remove Hardwar e”-icon in the task bar and ther e- fore cannot be stopped. If an “Unsafe r emoval of device” alert message appears please ignor e it with refer ence to your modem.
