- 12 - Step 8 Select t he Cam era you wish to c onfigure a nd click on Link . You ca n click on Search butto n if the camera does not show up in the l ist. Step 9 W hen you are pr ompted for th e usernam e and pas sword, enter “ admin” f or both User nam e and Passw ord , and click OK .
- 13 - Step 10 T he cam era viewing windo w will appear. Click on Setup , then c lick on S mart Wizard . Step 11 Enter a nam e for your cam era and a locat ion. Create an adm in password and enter int o Admin Passw ord and Confirm Password . It is suggeste d to change th e admin’s p assword to protect your privacy.

- 19 - Basic >> Da te & Time Date & Tim e - TimeZo ne: Select the pr oper tim e zone for the re gion from the pull-do wn menu. - Synchroniz e with PC: Select this option and the date & t ime settings of the cam era will be synchroni zed with the c onnected com puter.
- 20 - - User Name: Enter the us er’s nam e you want to add to us e the cam era. - Passw ord: Enter the p assword for the new us er. W hen you are finished, click Add/Modify to add the ne w user to the c amera. T o modify the user’s inform ation, select the one you want to modif y from UserList and click Add/M odify .
- 21 - 4.2 Network Settings The Net work menu c ontains three s ub-menus that provide t he network settings f or the cam era, such as the IP Sett ing, DDNS Setting, and I P Filter. Network >> Netw ork IP Setting This item allows you to select the I P address m ode and s et up the related c onfigur ation.
- 22 - DDNS Settin g W ith the Dynamic DNS f eature, you ca n assign a f ixed hos t and dom ain name to a dynam ic Internet IP address. T o set up the D DNS: 1. Check Enable check box to enable this feature. 2. Select a DDN S Prov ider from the pull-down l ist.
- 23 - Network >> IP Filter The IP Filter s etting allo ws the adm inistrator of the cam era to limit the user s withi n a certain ra nge of IP addresses to access the cam era. Disable: Se lect this opti on to disable th e IP Filter f unction of the cam era.
- 24 - 4.3 Setting up Video & Au dio The Video & Audio m enu contains thre e sub-m enus that pro vide the video and audio se ttings for the camera. Video & A udio >> Came ra Image Settin g - Brightness: Adjust the br ightness l evel from 0 ~ 100.
- 25 - Video & A udio >> Video MJPEG - Video Resolu tion: Select t he desired video resol ution fr om the three form ats: VGA , Q VG A and QQVG A . The higher sett ing (VGA) obta ins better video qual ity while it uses mor e resource within your networ k.

- 28 - 4.4 Event Server The Event Server m enu contains three sub-m enus that allo w you to up load image s to FTP, s end emails that include st ill images, a nd store video clips, s till images to a net work attached s torage (NA S). Event Server Setting>> FTP FTP - Host A ddress: Enter the I P address of the target FT P server.
- 29 - Event Server Setting >> E mail Email - SMT P Server Address: Enter the m ail server addr ess. For ex ample, m ymail.com . - Sender Em ail Address: Enter the em ail address of the user who will s end the em ail. For exam ple, John@m ymail.
- 30 - Event Server Setting >> N AS Netw ork Storage - Samba Serv er Addres s: Enter the I P address of the Net work Storage s erver. - Share: Assig n the fold er on the Net work Stora ge server to share the fil es to users . - Path: Assig n the path f or uploading t he files on the Networ k Storage ser ver.
- 31 - 4.5 Motion Detect *This f unction can onl y be configure d in W indows Internet Explorer. The Motion D etect m enu contains the c omm and and option that allow you to enable and set up th e motion detect ion feature of the cam era. T he camera provides two detecti ng areas.
- 32 - 4.6 Event Config The Event C onfiguratio n menu conta ins five sub-m enus that pro vide the c omm ands to configure e vent profiles. Event Configuration >> Gene ral Setting - Snapshot/Re cording Subfolder: You can assig n a given s ub-folder for c aptured f ile.
- 33 - Event Configuration >> Sc hedule Profile This sub-m enu displa ys the scheduled profile(s). T o configure a new prof ile, click A dd and then enter a descriptive name f or the profile in the prom pt dialog windo w. After en tering the pr ofile nam e, click O K and the profile is added to t he Schedu le Profiles list.
- 34 - Event Configuration >> Sc hedule Trigger You can conf igure the sc hedule f or trigger func tion of the cam era individ ually b y Email , FTP, and N AS . Select the En able opt ion on each item, and the n select a S chedule Profil e from the pull-down l ist and set the Interv al tim e.
- 35 - - Schedule P rofile: Selec t a schedul e profile fr om the pull-do wn list. - Action: Set the Trigge r Out func tion or select the d estination t hat the captur ed images will be sent to: Reco rd to Netw ork Storag e , Send Email , or FT P Upload .
- 36 - 4.7 Tools The T ools menu provid es the com mands that allow you to r estart or r eset the ca mera. You can a lso backup and r estore your configurati on, and up grade the f irmware for the cam era. Factory Reset Click Reset to restore a ll factor y default settings for the cam era.
- 37 - 4.8 RS-485 The RS-485 m enu prov ides the co ntrol settings f or external de vice through t he I/O port. Check the Enable opt ion and com plete the r equired conf iguration to use the RS- 485 functi on of the cam era. Popular Proto col Setting : Select th is option a nd then select a protocol.

- 41 - 5.2 Main Windo w and Item Feature W hen you start and log in to Ultra View, the Mai n windo w will displa y as belo w: The Main window pro vides you with the inform ation on operat ing the s ystem, as w ell as the contro l panel such as the Q uick Launc h buttons, an d so on.

Click the button and sel ect Dev ice Setting to displa y the Device Sett ing windo w. 2. Click New . 3. Click Dev ice Search to se arch the cam era(s) within your networ k.
- 45 - 4. W hen search is finished, s elect the c amera and c lick Add . 5. The inform ation of the c amera will be displa yed on the windo w. When c ompleted, c lick Preview and then click Save to retur n to the D evice Setting window. The added c amera wil l be displa yed in the Device List.
- 46 - Disconnect to stop previewing. TIP You cann ot set the mot ion detection area while ad ding t he new camera . To set t he motion detection ar ea of the camera, sel ect the desir ed camera an d click the M odify b utton on the Device Sett ing win dow.
- 47 - Editing / Deleting a Camera Since you h ave added c amera(s) to the system , you can sel ect one to ed it or rem ove. 1. On the De vice Setting window, the con nected c amera(s) will be displa yed in the D evice List. 2. To d elete the camera: s elect the desired one a nd then c lick Remov e .
- 48 - Viewing Ima ge of the Camera Since you h ave added c amera(s) to the system , the image of the selec ted camer a(s) will be displ ayed on the Live Vie w W indow aut om atically.
- 49 - 5.4 Recording / Playing Video Enabling / Disabling Recording W hile you are adding/e diting the cam era, you can enable the r ecording f unction for the camer a by selecting the R ecord opt ion. Click Save after you finish s etting. Alternatel y, you can set all cam eras to start/stop rec ording when you conn ect m ultiple cam eras.
- 50 - Configuring the Rec ording Settings The def ault director y for saving the rec orded video files is “ C:”. You can ch ange the targ et folder f or saving the f iles in the Reco rd Setting o ption. 1. Click the butto n and then s elect Record Setting .
