3 1.2 Panel 1.2.1 Front Panel The fro nt pane l of the Switch co nsist s of LED indicat ors, and 24 10/100/1000Mbp s ports. The figure below shows the front pa nel of the Switch.

8 2 Install ing the Sw itch The site where you place the sw itch may greatl y affect it s performance. When inst alling, take the following into your consideration. 2.1 In stallat ion Follow the guidelines belo w to inst all the Switch: Inst all th e Switch in a f airly cool an d dry place.
9 2.3 Rack Installation The Switch is rack-mount able an d can be installed on an EIA 13-inch equipment rack. T o do th is, first inst all the mounting bracket s on the Switc h’ s side p anels (one on each side), secure th em with the incl uded screws, a nd then use th e screws provided with the eq uipm ent rack t o mount the Switch.
10 3 Connecting the Switch This sectio n describes how to connect the Switch to yo ur 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet network. 3.1 Conne ction Y our network device (i.e. com puter , switch, IP Camera, V oIP) can be conn ected to any p ort of the Switch via a t wo-pair UTP Category 5 Cable.
