The input source must be insul ated from the ac mains by reinforced or double insulation. The input terminals of the module are not operator accessible. If the metal baseplate is grounded , one Vi pin and one Vo pin shall also be grounded.
FEA TURES DESCRIPTIONS Over-Current Protection The modules include an internal output over-curre nt protection circuit, which will endure current limiting for an unlimited duration during output overload. If the output current exceeds the OCP set point, the modul es will automatically shut down (hiccup mode).
FEA TURES DESCRIPTIONS (CON.) Output V oltage Adjustment (TRIM) To increase or decrea se the output voltage set poin t, the modules may be connected wit h an external resistor betwee n the TRIM pin and either the SENSE(+) or SENSE(-). The TRIM pin should be left open if this feature is not used.
THERMAL CONSIDERA TI ONS Thermal management is an importa nt part of the system design. To ensure prop er, reliable operation, suffici ent cooling of the power mod ule is needed over the entire temperature range of the modul e. Convection coolin g is usually the dominant mode of heat transfer.
