8- ENG D28609 ASSEMBL Y INSTRUCTIONS 2. Attach high pressur e hose to gun. Tighten securely . 1. Place handle assembly onto frame and connect handle to frame. 3. T o Assemble "W ater V room" surface cleaning guide. NOTE: If not using the "W ater Vr oom" surface cleaning guide proceed to step 4.
9- ENG D28609 4. Connect spray wand to gun. Tighten securely . c. Adjust spray wand to desired height needed for job to be performed. d. Snap spray wand (c) into place on surface cleaning guide. e. Rotate "J" hook over spray wand and tighten knob securely .
10- ENG D28609 5. T o Assemble Quick Connect Grommets: a. Squeeze grommet and place into hole, fitting gr oove to rim. b. Push grommet into place. c. Repeat steps until all grommets ar e assembled. 6. T o Assemble Quick Connect Nozzles: a. Remove five colored quick connect nozzles fr om plastic bag and insert them into correct gr ommet.
11- ENG D28609 OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS BASIC ELEMENTS OF A PRESSURE WASHER High Pressur e Pump : Increases the pressur e of the water supply . Engine: Drives the high pressur e pump. High Pressur e Hose: Carries the pressurized water from the pump to the gun and spray wand.
12- ENG D28609 BASIC ELEMENTS OF ENGINE Refer to the engine manual for location and operation of engine controls. Choke Control: Opens and closes carbur etor choke valve Starter Grip: Pulling starter grip operates recoil starter to crank engine. Engine Switch: Enables and disables ignition system.
13- ENG D28609 TO USE SPRA Y WAND Y our pr essure washer is equipped with five spray nozzles. Each nozzle is color coded and delivers a specific spray pattern for a particular cleaning purpose. The size of the nozzle determines the size of the fan spray and the pressur e out of the nozzle.
14- ENG D28609 HOW TO APPL Y CHEMICALS AND CLEANING SOL VENTS Applying chemicals or cleaning solvents is a low pressur e operation. NOTE: Use only soaps and chemicals designed for pressur e washer use. Do not use bleach. T o Apply chemicals: 1. Press chemical hose onto barbed fitting located near high pr essure hose connection of pump as shown.
15- ENG D28609 ST ARTING Prior to starting, refer to your engine manual for pr oper starting procedures for your engine type. 1. In a well ventilated outdoor ar ea add fresh, high quality , unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher .
16- ENG D28609 NOZZLE CLEANING If the nozzle becomes clogged with foreign materials, such as dirt, excessive pressur e may develop. If the nozzle becomes partially clogged or restricted, the pump pressur e will pulsate. Clean the nozzle immediately using the nozzle kit supplied and the following instructions: 1.
17- ENG D28609 HOW TO CLEAN THE WA TER INLET FIL TER This screen filter should be checked periodically and cleaned if necessary . 1. Remove filter by grasping end and removing it fr om water inlet of pump as shown. 2. Clean filter by flushing it with water on both sides.
18- ENG D28609 ENGINE Consult the Engine Owners Manual for the manufacturer's r ecommendations for storage. PUMP 1. Drain all water fr om high pressure hose , coil it, and stor e it in cradle of the pressur e washer handle.
19- ENG D28609 TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE PROBLEM Engine will not start (see Engine Manual for further engine troubleshooting) CAUSE CORRECTION No fuel. Add Fuel. Pressur e builds up after two pulls on the recoil starter or after initial use. Squeeze gun trigger to relieve pressur e.
