As with all machinery , ther e are certain hazar ds involved with the operation of the pr oduct. Using the machine with respect and caution will considerably lessen the possibility of personal injury .
3 IMPOR T ANT SAFETY RULES FOR DUST COLLECTORS W ARNING: Basic pr ecautions should always be followed when using your dust collector . T o reduce the risk of injury , electrical shock or fire, comply with the safety rules listed below: 1. DO NOT leave the dust collector plugged into the electrical outlet.
4 Fig. 2 UNP ACKING AND CLEANING Carefully unpack the tool and all loose items fr om the shipping container(s). Remove the pr otective coating from all unpainted surfaces. This coating may be removed with a soft cloth moistened wi th k er osene (do not use acetone, gasoline or lacquer thinner for this purpose).
5 ASSEMBL Y ASSEMBLING WHEEL CASTERS 1. Remove the hex nut and lockwasher from each of the four wheel casters. 2. Place the dust collector on its side. 2. Insert bolt from wheel caster thr ough the four holes (A) Fig. 3 in the base of the dust collector (three ar e not shown).

Thread r od into hole (E) and tighten nut (A) against motor assembly to hold support rod (B) upright. Height of support rod can be adjusted after the filter bag is in place.
8 ASSEMBLING DUST INT AKE HOSE TO MOTOR AND BLOWER ASSEMBL Y The dust collector is supplied with a 4" flexible dust intake hose. Place the intake cap holder (E) on the dust collector as shown in Fig. 17. NOTE: DO NOT COVER THE INT AKE POR T WITH THE INT AKE CAP WHEN A TT ACHING THE HOSE TO THE INT AKE PORT .

10 Use proper extension cor ds. Make sur e your extension cord is in good condition and is a 3-wir e extension cor d which has a 3-prong gr ounding type plug and a 3-hole r eceptacle which will accept the tool’ s plug. When using an extension cord, be sur e to use one heavy enough to carry the curr ent of the tool.
