4 Switching on •P lug the pow er base into the mains socket. • Place k ettle on power base. •P r ess the ON/OFF switch down (fig. 6) to switch the kettle on. • The pilot light will switch on. • The k ettle will automatically switch off once the water is boiled (the ON/OFF switch will click upwards and the light will g o out).
