3 USER INSTRUCTIONS USING THE OVEN FOR THE FIRST TIME Y ou are advised to carry out the following operations: ✓ Assemble the interior of the oven as described under the heading “Cleaning and maintenance” ✓ Switch the empty oven ON at maximum temperature for about two hours to eliminate traces of grease and smell fr om the components.

5 how to use the self cleaning oven 2 3 IIIIII I I I I I I IIIIIIIIII I I I I I I IIII USING THE OVEN FOR THE FIRST TIME - Put the shelf and the tray in the oven. - Switch the oven on when it is empty (on any cooking function – NOT SELF CLEANING ) at maximum power for about 2 hours to remove traces of gr ease and smells from the com- ponents.
6 OVEN LIGHT (this is not a cooking function) Tu r ning the knob to this position, only the oven lamp lights up. The lamp is always on in all the cooking functions (not for the self cleaning).
7 TRADITIONAL CONVECTION COOKING The upper and lower heating elements switch on. The heat is diffused by natural convection and the temperatur e must be set between 120 °F (50 °C) and 480 °F (250 °C). On selecting this function the electronic pr ogram- mer starts cooking with a pre-heating temperatur e set at 350 °F (200 °C).
8 IMPORT ANT NOTES: This is not a cooking function but is only used to clean the oven. Before starting the self cleaning cycle: -T ake all the accessories out of the oven (broiling pan and shelves). - Clean any traces of liquid which have overflowed.
9 SELECTING °F/°C ON THE DISPLA Y 1. Tu rn the oven selector knob to a cooking function (i.e. ). 2. Press key 5 on the pr ogrammer to reduce the temperatur e until you reach the min- imum value (120 °F/50 °C).
10 The temperature set is shown on the electr onic program display and can be var- ied, with 5 °F (5 °C) intervals, by means of the temperature knob (potentiome- ter) or the program keys.

22 REMOVING THE OVEN DOOR The oven door can easily be removed as follows: – Open the door to the full extent (fig. 4.3a). – Open the lever “A” completely on the left and right hinges (fig. 4.3b). – Hold the door as shown in fig. 4.3. – Gently close the door (fig.
