Page 2 • Never operate the extr actor hood witho ut a grease filter . • Never leave cooking fat or oil unat- tended. Overheated fat or oil can easi ly catch fire. • Do not flambé food directly under the ex- tractor hood. The flames pose the risk of the grease filter cat ching fire.
Page 3 Prep aring for inst allation. The extractor hoo d has the ability to ei- ther r ecirculate the filtered air back into the kitchen, or to vent the filtered air through an outside wall. Decide on which o ption best suits you be- fore com mencing with the installation.
Page 4 • Draw a fine vertic al line on the wall f rom the rear -centre of the hob to the cei ling. • Draw another line, ho rizontal this time, where the bottom edge of the hood should be. ( A mi ni mu m di s ta n c e b e - tween the hob and the hood of 750mm is re commen ded.
Page 5 • The lower duct fits over the extractor hood motor assembly and over the upp e r duct. T ake care not to scratch or damage the hood and uppe r duct surfaces. • Loosely attach the lower duct bottom edge to the hood by four self tappi ng screws through fo ur holes on the inside of the extractor hoo d .
Page 6 Optional Carbon p ad filters. • Remove the plastic outer protective li n- ing on the grease filte rs before fitti ng them to the extract or hood. • T o fit the filters, enga ge the two lugs at the rear of each filter i nto the rect angular slots of the extractor hood frame, lift the filter and press the handle catch inward s .

Page 8 Maintenance and cleaning. Important: Before cleaning any part of the ho od, switch the power off at the mains. Cleaning the m etal gr ease filters. • In normal operation (1 to 2 hours daily), the metal grease filt ers must be cleaned every 8 to 10 weeks.
